The next day, Lillian got dressed and claimed to go see a friend at a boutique, Reid insisted on dropping her off. She tried as much as she could to convince him not to bother. “Now that I'm caring about you, you wish to kick me off huh?” he arched his brows.
She swallowed deeply and blinked twice. “That's not what I meant—just that you're going to work, and dropping me off might cause you to be late.”
“I am the CEO and I have a manager, so even in my absence the company will still run its business…” he grabbed his cell phone. “Wait for me in the sitting room, i'll be there soon.” he walked out of the room.
