Ten Kit held up a six-pack of Fuzzy Navel wine coolers. “I brought the reinforcements.” “Can’t,” I said, motioning to the steering wheel in front of me. “I’m driving.” Not to mention the fact that, although I was inspired to my act of womanly duty, I was hesitant to have a repeat of last night’s drunken confessions. The car seemed like the easiest excuse. Besides, my stalking enterprises hadn’t turned out real well when I was sober. I could only imagine what would happen if I tried it drunk.
