Emily’s POV:
Rylee is on high alert as we scan the tree line. There is a shadow that appears from behind a tree and slowly starts towards us. Rylee growls as she gets lower to the ground and stands in front of Hunter.
“Son, what are you doing out here in the woods at this hour?” Austin emerges from the darkness and the moonlight makes it so that we can see his face.
Rylee doesn’t let up, but Hunter walks around to the front of her. Rylee growls and steps forward to protect him, but Hunter sticks his hand out, telling Rylee to stay. She whines, but obeys.
“We are just out here having a little fun. No harm or danger.” Hunter explains with his hands in his pockets.
