Chapter six

~ LUCAS~ How the f**k do I even explain to her that I have wanted this for a very long time, and that time was here. But, something was different. She was no longer the Allison I knew. The Allison that I had watched for ten f*****g years because I finally found what was missing. The fire in her eyes was no longer as calm as it used to be, it burned, fiercer than I had ever imagined it would. The ride to my mansion was a silent one, and all through, I tried so f*****g hard not to ask her any questions, but it didn't change the fact that I was bothered. Did she finally see through all of Liam's stupid scheme? Besides, the Allison I know was too in love and obsessed over Liam to end her marriage. She was too stupid to even see that he was using her. When the car stopped, I stepped out of it first and began heading into my mansion. As I walked, I could hear her footsteps right behind me, but I didn't turn around to glance at her. When I suddenly halted, she also stopped moving behind me. I took a deep breath in, and c****d my head in her direction, “Do you want to follow me to my room?” She looked at me with confusion so evident in her gaze, feeling so lost and scared all at the same time, and it made me wonder where all that big strong girl act had gone all of a sudden. Wasn't she as fierce as a tiger a few hours ago? “Where’s my room?” I heard her faint voice, and took a deep breath in. If I wanted an explanation, then I had to be calm with her. At least calm enough to make her want to talk to me, “Follow me,” I said to her, and began heading towards the stairs. As soon as I got to the entrance of one of the rooms in the mansion, I opened the door, “Come in.” She gently followed behind me and stepped into the room. I tilted my head back in her direction to see the shocked expression on her face, “Is something wrong?” “I…it's just so big, and extremely beautiful.” She muttered, and I let out a small scoff. Without uttering a word, I turned back to leave, but heard her call my name. It almost felt like she was genuinely shocked to be in a place like this, a room as big and beautiful as this, but her father was the beta of the pack, her room had to at least be something like this, if not entirely. “Lucas, aren't you even a bit curious about anything? “I'm only curious about how stupid you want to risk your life lying that we're mates in front of everyone when we're not, Allison. Whatever Liam has done to you is absolutely none of my business and I don't f*****g care. I’m taking you back tomorrow so you can tell my father you lied about us being mates.” I said without turning back to look at her, and continued walking towards the entrance. As soon as I got out of the room, I slammed the door shut and headed straight for my room which was right next to Allison's. As I got in, I shut the door behind me and dug my fingers into my hair, trying to calm myself. All these f*****g years I tried to keep my feelings for her at bay, and this happened? How f*****g long would I be able to do that now that she was trying to make herself mine. Twenty minutes after pacing around my room like a lost cause, I stepped out and stood right in front of Allison's room. She was right, I was so f*****g curious to know why she was doing all of this and what she wanted. I was curious to know why that fire was burning in her eyes all of a sudden, I rapped a knock on the door, but then there was no response. Impatient, I opened the room, but it was empty. She wasn't inside the room, “Allison?” I called, but there was no response. Once I confirmed that she wasn't in the room, I rushed out of the room and headed downstairs immediately, “Where the hell is she?” The guards standing outside both stared at each other like morons and I growled, “Where's Allison, you fools?” “She left a couple of minutes ago, Alpha.” They answered, and I growled in annoyance. It hasn't been up to five hours and she was starting to be a pain in the ass. “f**k!” I rushed towards my car and hopped in immediately. As I got in, I had no idea where it was that I could start searching for Allison, but the only place that came to my mind was her home, her family home. They were the only people she knew, and if she wanted to be anywhere, then it had to be there. After thinking about it over and over again, I ignited the engine of the car and sped out of the house immediately. Damnit, I f*****g didn't know why I was worried, but I had to find her no matter what–it had always been that way, me finding her all these years, and letting Liam take all the credit for it because I knew she loved him, But this time, it was going to be different. I would find her, and let her know it was me this time around.
