CHAPTER 07
~ALLISON~
Lucas was my last hope, and yet that hope was shattered into multiple pieces. I couldn't control the tears that ran down my face as I recalled how I had died, and everything I had been through during that period.
I couldn't deny that I was scared, I was so f*****g scared of what would happen in a year. I didn't want to die without seeing my real parents either.
I finally got to my parents' house, and stood at the entrance of the gate, staring at the big mansion in front of me,
Summoning up enough courage, I walked in and headed for the door. As soon as I got into the house, I saw my father, mother, and Sandra seated in the living room,
“You bitch.” Sandra yelled as soon as she saw me and rose to her feet,
“What the hell are you doing here? How dare you show your filthy face here?”
Her eyes were red and swollen and I didn't need anyone to tell me that she had been crying her eyes out, probably in pain that I had cancelled the wedding and told everyone that Lucas was my mate instead.
I remained standing without moving an inch from where I was,
“Say something you b***h!” She yelled, but I began heading towards the stairs. As I took a few steps away, Sandra grabbed my hair, and pulled me back,
“You're not f*****g going anywhere until you give a damn explanation, Allison. Who the hell do you think you are to steal the man I love?”
“Let me go…” I screamed and just before her palm could meet my face, I held it in the air,
“Don't you even dare, Sandra.”
She chuckled mockingly at me,
“How dare you talk to me in that manner? You should know your place here you f*****g b***h. You should know you don't belong here, and you never will.”
At least I was beginning to see her true colors without that pretentious look and the fake smile she always had on her face,
She grabbed my shoulders and shoved me aside. As soon as I fell, I let out a light groan and whimpered,
“I'm going to kill you, bitch.”
“That's enough Sandra,” Father said as he walked closer to me with his hands in his pockets. He stared at me like I was something they needed to have pity on and not his daughter.
“Dad…” I called in a soft voice as tears welled in my eyes,
“Don't call me that. I'm giving you a chance to go back to the Alpha king and tell him you were lying. Tell him it was one of your stupid pranks and I'll ensure you don't get punished after you do.” He said, but I sniffled,
“Did you care to ask why I cancelled the wedding?” I asked, expecting an answer but he remained quiet,
“Because apparently, your precious daughter has been sleeping around with Liam. She started all of this…” I said, expecting my father to get angry or even yell at Sandra, but he just stood there, staring at me without any shocked expression on his face. I instantly shifted my gaze to my mother who was standing behind him, and it was the same thing.
They weren't surprised or shocked to hear what I had just said, and I immediately let out a loud scoff, pursing my lips together so I could hold back the urge to cry out loud. I gently placed my palm on my mouth, crying and asking myself what kind of disgusting people they were.
“You knew. You both knew all along and you did nothing.” I finally managed to say, standing on my feet,
“And so what if she was sleeping with your mate, Allison? Liam wanted Sandra and not the other way round. Now listen to me you little wench, we didn't go through all that trouble raising you for twenty years only for you to turn into a rebellious witch on an important day. Lucas is the next Alpha of the dark fang pack, and well, Liam… he owns nothing for now. You're going to go back to the alpha king and make your claims false or else you won't be stepping your foot out of this house till your father and I fix this ourselves.”
No matter how much I wanted to control more tears from not rolling down my cheeks, I just couldn't do it. For twenty years of my life, I had devoted myself to being the good daughter to my parents, doing everything just like they wanted me to, but right now they were showing me their true faces,
“I’m leaving, and I'm never coming back here.” I snapped, but as I turned to leave, Sandra stood in my way,
“What are you waiting for you dummies, lock her up right this minute.” She yelled at two of my father's guards standing at the entrance and they both rushed towards me,
One of them grabbed my arm roughly and I groaned out in pain,
“Let me go you bastards,” I screamed, but Sandra slapped me so hard I felt my blood run cold,
“Shut the hell up, you stupid b***h. Till you decide to leave my man alone, you're going nowhere.” She yelled, “Take her away.”
I struggled, fought hard, cried my eyes out, yelled, but no one listened to me. I shouldn't have come here in the first place. I only came to see if I could give them a second chance, but I guess I was wrong. What they did to me was truly unforgivable and despicable.
Just as they dragged me to the stairs, the door slammed open, and Lucas walked into the room,
I exhaled, shutting my eyes,
“Lucas,” Sandra called with a bright smile on her face and I watched her run up to him,
“What the hell are you doing to her?” He yelled at my parents, and they both flinched in fear while Sandra stepped away from him,
In seconds, he raced towards me and shoved the guards holding me aside, grabbing me before I could fall down,
“Allison, are you okay?” I heard his voice while I was starting to lose consciousness, but I didn't respond. With an angry growl, he picked me up in his arms and I rested my head on his chest, feeling all the warmth that I needed, that I had never felt before even while dating Liam.
He walked over to my father, and I heard him growl in anger,
“She's mine, beta Cole. Allison is mine now and no longer your responsibility. Touch even a strand of her hair, any of you, and you'll have to answer to me. Understood?” His strong aura radiated around the room, and I was certain they all felt it too,
“Y…yes a…Alpha.” My father stammered in return before Lucas began heading for the door with me in his arms. I let out a deep breath as tears rolled down my face, dropping down to his shirt, and then I heard him whisper to me,
“You're going to be alright little wolf, I've got you.”
No one's ever stood up for me, but he was the first. The first to save me and it meant a lot.
