Chapter five

ALLISON’S POV

I never felt so relieved over achieving something all my entire life, and today, I knew just what it felt like to do something I had never done before,

As soon as the car halted, I stepped down from it and began heading inside the mansion where the Alpha king and Luna were waiting.

As I was walking towards the two large entrance doors, I tilted my head backwards to see that Lucas' car was right behind the car that had brought me here,

I waited, and when he stepped out of his car, he took off his shades, staring at me while leaning on his car and looking hotter in his dashing black suit than I had expected. Was Lucas always this handsome and I never noticed? I used to think Liam was more handsome, but now I am realizing it was only because I was obsessed with him that I found him to be the most attractive man in the whole world.

Once Liam's car halted in the compound, I turned around and began to walk towards the entrance of the house.

As I got into the house, two maids rushed towards me,

“Luna instructed us to get you changed into something more comfortable.”

I stared down at myself to realize that I was still in my wedding dress. I would gladly rip this piece of trash off my body because Liam had gotten it for me.

“Lead the way,” I responded, and followed behind as they walked towards the stairs.

Soon, I got changed into a red gown and was led to the chambers where the Alpha king wanted us to meet him. As I stepped in, Lucas and Liam were already seated waiting,

“Have a seat, dear.” The Alpha calmly said and I nodded my head,

I rushed over to an empty seat, and sat down,

“Do you know the gravity of lying to the pack, Allison?” The Alpha king asked as I took my seat, and I nodded, pursing my lips as well,

“I do,” I responded, but Liam interjected before I could continue,

“Dad, don't tell me you believe what she said? She's obviously lying to everyone.” He half yelled then faced me,

“Ally, what's wrong with you? Talk to me. Maybe we could go out and talk about this privately. Whatever I did wrong, tell me and I'll change.” He said, but I didn't bother turning my gaze to him. Was this how f*****g desperate he was to please Sandra because it seemed like she wanted me out of her way for good.

“I’ll prove it to you all that I'm not lying” I finally broke my silence,

“How?” The Alpha asked, and I shifted my gaze to Lucas who was seated quietly and staring at me,

“I'll get pregnant with his child in a couple of months. That should be enough proof.” I said,

“Do you have any idea what you're saying, child? The goodness only grants pups to wolves who are mated.” Luna Clara informed me, clearly worried about me, but I had made up my mind and I wasn't going back on it.

“You have four months to make us believe your claims, Allison.” I heard the Alpha,

“Honey…” Luna Clara tried saying, but was interjected,

“It's only right that I give her a chance. Lucas is the next in line, Alpha of the dark fang pack, and he needs an heir to take over as soon as possible. This might be the only chance for him to become Alpha.”

I let out a small smile, satisfied that my plan was falling in place,

“And what if she can't?” Liam cuts in, and everyone tilts their gaze to him,

“Allison would have to face a cruel punishment. A punishment worse than death itself.”

I clutched my fingers into a fist, thinking about my decision, but my mind was already made up. Four months was more than enough to find my real parents, and get my revenge even if I die in the process.

With the silence in the room, Lucas rose to his feet, tucking his hand into his pocket,

“I'm leaving. I have better things to do.” He said,

His gaze shifted to me and we both stared at each other for a few seconds while I wondered what the hell was going through his mind already. With the look in his eyes, I was certain he didn't want me to and maybe I was only rushing all of this down his throat. I couldn't deny the fact that I felt terrible about it, but he was my only ticket to getting what I wanted,

“If you're leaving, then take your mate along with you, Lucas.” Alpha Lucien instructed,

I widened my eyes, my heart racing so fast as I didn't expect that I would move in with him so quickly.

“No rush Alpha Lucien, all of this might be too much for him to…”

“What are you waiting for? You don't expect me to walk up and drag you along in my arms, do you?” Lucas interjected, and I whipped my head in his direction, clearly shocked by his words,

I arched my brows, “What?” I muttered, but he came towards me, and before I knew what was going on, I was in his arms already,

“Drop me…” I whispered to him, “I can walk on my own Lucas.”

He smirked at me instead, his grip on my body becoming firmer,

“Not a chance, MATE.” He murmured, and I felt my heart race faster when he called me mate. My gaze didn't leave his as I took steady breaths in and out so I could become calm before processing my words,

“Didn't you say you'd get pregnant with my pup in four months? Well then, let's go make babies.” He whispered loud enough for only me to hear, while I began struggling to free myself from his grip.

As much as I tried, I just couldn't, and in the end, I gave in to him, allowing my body to rest on him while he walked out of the room with me. I had no idea what it was, but something in me lit up when he called me ‘mate’, but sadly, a second chance mate was the last thing I needed right now.
