Abi's pov
We turned back and there she was standing with her hands placed firmly on her waist. Aunt Tina my dad's only sister who for some reason doesn't like us, well we don't like her either anyway.
"Hey aunt, when did u get here?" I asked feigning a smile.
"Yesterday night, when you were both sleeping like logs." She replied slowly walking towards us.
"How did you even get in, we locked the door before going to sleep". Alex said raising his brows at her clearly displeased with her presence.
She chuckled lightly " I have my ways Alexander and good morning to you too. Where are you guys headed to?"
"We are going shopping" I quickly responded before Alex could say any other thing, i really didn't want any drama.
"Shopping? Does ur dad know about that?"
"Geez aunt we ain't kids anymore,we don't need dad's permission every time we go out and we so don't need you here every time our parents are out of town, so you can just leave."
Alex said and her eyes darkened anger evident on her face.
"You better watch your tongue young man, am not your mate. Do you even think I wanna be here with you?" She said looking at us like we are some pieces of trash.
I quickly grabbed Alex's hand and shook my head to stop him from talking back at her.
"Aunt don't worry we just wanna shop a few stuff for our birthday party and we would be back before you know it." I said and we walked out closing the door behind us. I heaved a sigh and released a breath I didn't know I was holding.
With Aunt Tina around, there always seems to be something we ain't doing right, she always finds fault in everything we do.
Alex's mood had already been ruined and he didn't say much throughout the car ride.
We bought the stuff we needed and within a few hours we were done and headed home.
The rest of the day went by in a blur.
