THE DOUBLE C ALPHA CHASE

Chapter 9

Third Person POV

Alpha Chase’s eyes remained fixed on Anya’s still form on the bed, a storm of distress and confusion brewing within him. Her brief but potent outburst had only deepened the enigma surrounding her.

' She is a witch for sure,'

" Just...Just..Just keep quiet. Okay. Keep quiet and give me some space," Alpha Chase said back to his inner wolf, who keeps interrupting his moment of thoughts

The room is still valuable evidence that his mate is a witch. The broken vessels and lamps say it all. The books that are now laying recklessly on the floor of the room is a description of saying that there have been some disarray in the room.

Then, he mindlinked the most trusted person he had had by his time all time long, his Beta. Apparently, he turned out to be his best friend. If he needs someone to talk about the little tantrum display by his mate to is his Beta.

" Come to the guest room," he ordered and then disconnected the call

Within a minute, the door was opened, and Liam, Alpha Chase steeped in. The first step taken by him as soon as he entered made a noise, and it got him to look at what he probably stepped on. Just then, he saw the broken shards of glass.

" What the hell happened here?" Liam said, still observing the situation of the room

" Is she okay?" He asked again when he saw that Anya was lying on the bed. Her body void of energy as the only mean to know she is alive is the rising and lowing of her chest.

" I don't know," Alpha Chase said as he looked at Liam with a serious and confused face.

His jaw was clenched against each other, the vein throbbing prominently on his forehead. The sweat beads that were formed on his forehead show a sign of tiredness.

" Anya did all that.."

" Wait a minute, what do you mean that she did all this? She can't even reach the chandelier with the bed help...." Liam interrupted Alpha Chase

" Liam, I mean she did all this. She was standing exactly where you are when all these things start coming my way. I guess she was angry with me. The thought of her being a vampire made her frustrated, and the rage she felt leads to all this. She did not even move an inch neither did she touched any of these stuffs before they start hitting my way," Alpha Chase said in a go, talking with a serious face as if trying to make sense of what he said himself.

There was an uncomfortable silence between the Alpha and his Beta. None of them want to say the most obvious fact.

" She is a witch, Liam," Alpha Chase said after a moment of silence, which was later disturbed by him.

" A witch? No, she can't be. We all saw that she reacted to the vervain laced at the borderline. She is a vampire for sure," Liam said in argument and doubt, trying to convince himself that Anya is a vampire.

" Then she healed,"

" That must have been her werewolf part. I mean, she can be a hybrid. A part of the werewolf and a part of the vampire. Her werewolf part made her heal so quickly," Liam said again

" Liam! She did all this!" Alpha Chase said in fury as he stood abruptly from his seat,making the chair he sat on make a screeching noise as it grazed the floor roughly.

" She f*****g did all this! The chandelier went off simultaneously with the lamps, and then it fell off. She did not move an inch! Don't you understand! She was all disputing the fact that she was not a vampire when she entered the trance. She is witch,Liam!"

" A f*****g witch," Alpha Chase said in annoyance as he ran his hand through his hair roughly

" And a vampire," Liam said, standing his ground about the fact that she is a vampire, even despite the shout the Alpha yelled at him.

" And a werewolf," Liam said again.

" She might be a witch and vampire, without the werewolf part. The witch self might be the one to make her heal faster than usual," Liam said again,talking to no one in particular, as his eyes were fixed on Anya.

" She is a werewolf. Her wolf was in control when I entered," Alpha Chase said,but lower his voice when he remembered what happened between them when he entered.

The moment they shared earlier was evidence that she was a werewolf. He knew that her wolf was in control when they kissed, just as when his wolf was in control.

"You have to kill her, Chase. Vampire alone is grounds for banishment, for execution. You made that rule. No vampires in the pack, kill on sight. You broke it the moment the obvious was staring you in the face," Liam stated, his gaze unwavering as Alpha Chase’s eyes darkened to a dangerous blue.

" Whoa, Whoa. It is your rule and your choice, " Liam said, afraid of what the Alpha might do to him.

The deeper version of the Alpha's blue eyes is not a good thing.That deep, sapphire blue was never a good sign. Everyone in the pack knows.

" But you still have to ban her if you don't want the pack to burn her to ashes. She is a witch and a vampire," Liam said, increasing the distance between them.

" She is my mate!" Alpha Chase yelled, and in a lightening speed, he held Liam's throat, slamming his back against the wall. Those distances were covered in no time as Liam begged and struggled for his breath.

A primal growl rumbled in Alpha Chase’s chest, his fangs descending, his claws digging slightly into Liam’s skin. Liam gasped, clawing at the hand constricting his airway, his vision beginning to blur.

"Alpha Chase…" A small, hesitant voice cut through the tense silence. In an instant, the pressure on Liam’s throat vanished as Alpha Chase whirled around.

"Arrgh," Liam choked, sucking in a ragged breath.

"You're awake," Alpha Chase said, his concern immediate as he rushed to Anya, who was now sitting upright.

She flinched as he reached for her, a flicker of fear in her eyes. But then, surprisingly, Anya took his hand, her fingers lacing with his.

An unexpected gesture, a stark contrast to her earlier fury.

" Don't do that again. You are making me nervous whenever you are in your Alpha mode," Anya said silently as she curled up against Alpha Chase body.

" I'm sorry that I scared you," he said as he kissed her on the forehead while his hand pat her back.

" What happened?" Anya asked after a while

" It's complicated.......," Alpha Chase replied but couldn't finish his sentence when the door swung inward, revealing the Alpha mother and two of the elders of the pack.
