Chapter Fifty-Six - Qualms

Sam POV I got home and ran straight to my room. It was still raining outside so my mom didn't noticed I had already arrived. A couple of minutes past, I heard the door open. It must have been mom. I remained in the bed, face down. Slowly breathing in and out so it would look like I was asleep. It took about a minute or so before I heard the door click and close. My room was almost sound-proof, almost. The rain fell hard on the roof and I knew I couldn't take it much longer. I cried in the cab but felt as if that wasn't enough. I sat up from the bed and held my knees close to me. I tried hard to contain the tears, but they just kept pouring, just like the rain. Mom wouldn't hear me. Her room was a door away from mine.
