I watched as the girl I love feel tired and weak every day. It was only a few weeks before graduation that she was constantly in hospital; taking care of Zen. When she found out about Zen's condition, she felt terrible about it. She blamed herself for not even trying to stop and hear the whole story, for jumping into conclusions.
Sam thought it was best if us three remained friends. She didn't choose from either Zen or I. She said she doesn't want any of us to feel obligated towards her when she goes home late, when she falls asleep in class, who she spends time with.
