Elena Alexander's fingers wrap around the bars. His green eyes burn through the darkness. "Did you like my note, little wolf? I have more where that came from." I scramble backward. My back hits the bed frame. Pain shoots through my wounds. I bite my lip to keep from crying out. The taste of blood fills my mouth. "Go away," I whisper. My voice is barely a breath.
