When It All Started

The alarm went blaring in my small room. The sun shone through the room's small window, making the room looked bright and cozy at the same time. The room I rented had a small window at the corner of the room, facing the small garden at the back of the apartment. The view was fabulous, with the rooftop downstairs facing three big trees at the back. I usually climbed out the window on lonely nights during each spring breaks. Sitting on the room while listening to the soft slow beat music humming from my computer in the room. I look around at my small single bed, my study desk, my small built-in closet. I have to leave all of these today and venture off to new life experience. Leaving country U that I had explored nearly half of it with my friends during my four years here. I went out of my room into the kitchen and straight left to the only bathroom in the house. I ran the water for a quick shower and talked to myself "this is my last shower here." After shower, I put on my blue faded flare jeans, a maroon long sleeve and blue denim jacket matched with my ankle boots. It's going to take 24 hours journey back to my hometown in country M so I need to put on something comfy. I was about to lift my bag downstairs when the was a knock on the door. "Owh, hey, you're ready?" asked Jack after peering through the door. "Yes. I think so. Wait, I need to check if there's anything missing." "Got your passport and ticket?" "Yes, it's here." "Where are your housemates? They are going back with you, right?" asked Jack, perplexed seeing there was no other sign of life except for my clicking boots, checking around if any of my things were left around. "Yes, yes, we're here!" shouted Annie from the balcony. She came in from the front balcony into the living room with Aria following her suit. We grabbed our bags, downstairs to Jack's blue Ford Fiesta. I put my bag in first, then looking back at the two floor apartment that we had lived in for the past for years. Bye bye home. Thank you for your years of service. I hope you get better tenant in the upcoming years! I got in and sit shotgun next to my best friend Jack, feeling overwhelmed of the things, memories and people I had to leave behind.
