"I don't think it's right, baby girl." Derek says. "It's inappropriate." I frown.
"I agree with him, princess." Dad says.
"But-" I try to argue but dad cuts me off.
"We're your dads. I'm sorry but it's not happening."
I groan and go back to the fitting room. I look at myself in the mirror and chuckle, I knew they weren't going to approve that's why I chose this dress to tease them.
It was a black sparkly dress that revealed too much of my cleavage and it was open in the back down to my back dimples. So it basically covered my breasts, ass and stomach.
I change back to my clothes, head to the front cashier and they pay for my clothes. After shopping we go eat, watch a movie in theaters and i forced them to go to the spa with me. At around seven thirty we headed home.
We each take a shower to freshen up, I wear my short pjs with a pink tank top and they wear sweatpants without shirts. What a sight.
We play monopoly. "Damn it, I always have to sell all of my properties." I whine.
Dad laughs, but karma is a b***h becauze a few rounds later he lost everything and Derek won.
"Want a beer Jason?" Derek asks dad.
"Yeah, I'll go help you out."
All alone, I start cleaning up our mess. "Happy birthday to you!" I turn around and see them holding up a cake for me. I smile while they sing to me.
"Make a wish, baby girl."
I close my eyes. I wish that this works.
"What did you wish for?" Dad asks me.
I look at my dad in the eyes then at Derek. I really hope this works. "Remember how today you have to do everything I want?"
They nod, "Mhm."
I take a shaky breath. "I-" I swallow. "I want-" Dammit! This is harder than I thought.
"What is it, princess?"
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. Here goes nothing. "I want you."
I think you meant to say 'Here goes everything' but who cares.
I open my eyes and gaze up at them since I'm sitting on the living room floor and they're standing in front of me. They just stare at me with no expression on their faces.
"Ookaayy." Derek says.
"You want us to... what?" Dad asks.
Okay, so maybe they didn't understand what I meant.
I think you should be bold and just throw it out there.
What? No!
Yes! Let me take over.
Oh, hell no! You just say whatever you want without thinking.
Uh, duh! Sometimes that's better than sounding like a broken record.
That's it! I'm insane, I'm having an argument with subconscious mind and I'm going to let it win.
"I want you guys to hold me." I say. "I want you to kiss me. I want you to touch me." I take a deep breath. "I want you to love me, not as your daughter, but as a woman."
I saw a few expressions show on their faces. Surprise, confusion, sadness, etc. They didn't say anything for a few minutes. Not. A. Single. Word.
I was experiencing many feelings myself, sadness, hopeful, regret, shame, embarrassment, fear. I wanted the ground to swallow me up and safe me from their gazes, but no such thing happened.
After what felt like forever, dad spoke. "Hayley, w-what," He shakes his head. "What do you mean?"
As if this wasn't bad enough. "It means that I've had a crush on both of you since I was a little girl." I say. "And now that I'm eighteen, I thought..." I trail off and look down at my lap.
"Hayley," It was Derek speaking. Hayley. They both called me by my name. "We can't, we are your dads, that is not..."
"It's not happening." Dad finishes for him. "I'm sorry, but we can't."
My eyes burned and my chest hurt, but I wouldn't cry, not in front of them. I blink fast getting rid of my tears and gather all the strength I can before I look up at them with a smile.
"Don't worry, I understand." I say with a calmness that scared even me. "I knew this was a long shot anyway." I chuckle.
They give me worried looks. "Are you okay?" Derek asks.
I snort, followed by a laugh. "Of course I'm am."
I stand up and there was something else in their eyes. Pity. I do NOT want their pity.
"Hayley-"
I'm fine dad." I wave my hand in dismissal. I muster up the strength to look them in the eyes. "I'm sorry for telling you that, I shoukdn't have. It was inappropriate and inconsiderate of me. I hope that you can forget this ever happened so we can go back to how things used to be. But if you can't, I completly understand."
I continued talking, not giving them a chance to say anything. "Now, I'm going to head upstairs to my room." And that is exactly what I did. I also dropped down and cried in silence.
My phone vibrated with an incoming text, I stared at it for a few seconds before replying back.
I got up, waled to my closet, grabbed a short red dress with long sleeves, with knee high black boot heels, went to my dresser, curled my hair and did my make up. With one last look in the mirror I walked downstairs.
"Hayley," Appears dad from the kitchen followed by Derek. "Can we ta-" They stop when they see me. "lk."
"Where are you going?" Derek asks me.
"Oh, I'm going on a date." I tell them. "I was about to tell you." I force myself to smile.
"On a date?" Dad looks at the clock on the wall. "At this hour?"
"It's only nine forty-nine dad."
He narrows his eyes at me, but it was Derek who spoke. "With who and when did you plan this date?" He sounded annoyed or maybe it was my imagination, who knows.
"With Leo." I say and anger shows on both of their faces.
Especially on Derek's. "I though you said there was nothing going on between you two."
I nod. "I did." I was on the verge of losing it.
Dad crosses his strong arms. "So you lied to us?"
I snapped. "No, dad. I did not lie to you! I knew he liked me, but I was never interested in him! You know why? Because I was so focus on the fact that I was attracted to my two f*****g dads to even think of giving any guy my age a chance!"
They were startled and I was overwhelmed with emotions. I need to get out of here.
"I'm gonna go now." And so I left.
