“Are you nervous?” Frank asked Bill as they lay together in their motel room the night before Bill was to leave for The NFL Combine.
Bill took a deep breath and pulled Frank closer to him. “Yes, but excited, too. There are more guys invited than will be drafted. The guys who aren’t as highly ranked are the ones who are nervous. They’re not sure if they’ll be drafted or how high. I’ve been invited to be interviewed by almost every franchise. I’m in great shape physically. I’m pretty sure I’ll be drafted fairly high. The only question is by which team.”
“Do you have a certain team in mind?” Frank asked.
“Yeah, I got a couple of ideas, but I don’t want to say which ones yet. I don’t want to jinx it.”
