Chapter 18 Early the next day, in the grey light of morning, as a light snow fell, another welcome crowd was gathered at Chrysler arena. This crowd was smaller than the one that welcomed the team home from the playoff victory, and much smaller than the one at the pep rally that had sent the Wolverines off to Arlington and the championship game just a few days ago. There were no cheerleaders, no pep band—just a handful of faithful fans who felt this was their team—win or lose. Frank was angry. The team had had a fantastic year.
