Leah froze. Her mind went completely blank like someone had turned off all her thoughts at once.
But Damian didn’t stop. He kissed her roughly, his tongue invading her mouth, but not too aggressively. His other hand moved up to her face and gently stroked her cheek.
Even though the kiss was full of heat and passion, it was just to distract her and calm her down. Leah had looked like she was about to have a panic attack, and this was the only thing he could think of in that moment.
Slowly, her body began to relax. Her shoulders dropped a little, her breathing slowed down. Damian noticed it right away, and that’s when he finally let go of her lips and pulled back.
Leah gasped, trying to catch her breath. Her chest rose and fell quickly as she stared at Damian, her eyes wide with total shock. She didn’t say a word. Her hand slowly lifted to her mouth, and her fingers touched her lips, which were still wet from the kiss. Her hand trembled as the realization hit her.
She’d just been kissed.
By a total stranger.
"You need medical treatment, Leah… so you don’t really have a choice but to stay here," Damian finally spoke, breaking the heavy silence between them. His voice was calm, but there was no softness in it.
Leah didn’t argue this time. She just kept her head down, staring at her lap like she was lost in her own world. She didn’t even move.
"Are you feeling any pain in your wrist?" he asked, glancing at her hand with concern.
Leah shook her head slowly, still not saying a word. The kiss was still fresh in her mind, and she hadn’t fully processed it. Her lips were still tingling, and her chest felt tight. She was still too stunned to speak properly.
"What about your body?" Damian asked again, watching her closely. "Anywhere else hurting?"
"In m…my shoulder, legs, knees, arms…" Leah mumbled, barely getting the words out.
He let out a quiet sigh. He already knew it. Esther had beaten her in those places the most.
"I see…" he said after a short pause.
"Your dinner will arrive in a short while. Eat properly and take the medicines before going to sleep. A doctor will come check on you tomorrow," he then added, his tone turning cold again.
Without saying anything further, Damian stood up and was about to leave the room, but then stopped at the door.
"Don’t try to do anything stupid again. It won’t change anything. You’ll only end up in more pain. And also… don’t try to escape either, Leah," he said. Then he walked out and closed the door behind him.
When Damian got back to his room, he sat down on the edge of his bed and didn’t move. His hands rested on his knees, and his eyes stared blankly at the floor. His breathing grew heavier as his mind went back to the kiss.
He’d acted like it was nothing afterward, like it didn’t affect him but it did. A lot more than he’d let on.
His hand could still remember the softness of her skin. And her taste… it was still on his lips. He licked them without thinking, as if trying to hold onto it a little longer.
Damian’s eyes dropped to the noticeable bulge pressing against his pants, and a wave of disgust washed over him. He felt sick to his stomach. He couldn’t believe his body got aroused from touching a girl who was fragile, broken, and clearly in pain.
But even with the guilt weighing on him, Damian couldn’t stop thinking about how soft her lips had felt against his. The memory burned in his mind, growing darker with every passing second. He could already imagine those beautiful lips wrapped around the tip of his c**k, sucking him like a good girl.
The thought alone drove Damian absolutely crazy. The bulge in his pants was now painfully hard. With a frustrated groan, Damian rushed to the shower.
As the cold water poured over his body, Damian wrapped his hand around his throbbing c**k. He pumped it hard and fast, desperate for release. A low, strained growl escaped his throat as he finally came, his breath hitching while the water kept rushing down, washing everything away.
If just a simple imagination could make him feel that wild, Damian couldn’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to actually have her for real. It was clear to him now that he wanted Leah more than he had ever wanted anything or anyone before.
And he would have her.
But he knew he had to be careful. The last thing he wanted was to become another monster in her life like Ander.
That bastard didn’t just r**e her, he broke her mentally, tore pieces of her soul apart until she barely had anything left. Damian knew that. He saw it in her eyes, in her quiet voice, in the way she flinched without realizing it. Ander had destroyed something deep inside her.
And as long as Leah was under Damian's possession, he wouldn’t let Ander or any other man even think about touching her again. She was his now. Only his. And no one would ever hurt her again.
But deep down, Damian knew the truth. He wasn’t a hero. Not even close. In fact, he was probably the worst monster of them all. He had darkness in him that no one truly knew. And if Leah ever saw that side of him, she’d be terrified.
Still… Damian didn’t care.
Because no matter what, he wasn’t going to let her leave. she belonged to him now, whether she liked it or not.
Her fate was sealed the moment she walked into his world. And now, she was stuck with the ultimate devil.

As Damian left the room, Leah's mind was completely lost in the thoughts of the kiss. Instead of focusing on how to escape, all she could think about was the way his lips had felt against hers.
It wasn't her first kiss, because Ander had taken that from her years ago. But this kiss was different, and she couldn’t understand whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. All she knew was that it made her whole body relax in an instant, a feeling she had never experienced from a kiss.
Every kiss she was forced to have with Miguel or Ander had disgusted her to the core, but this one felt strange in a way she couldn't explain.
"I brought your dinner, ma'am..." One of the maids spoke, breaking Leah's haze of thought. "Do you want to eat sitting on the couch or on the bed?"
Leah blinked, looking at the maid holding a tray full of different dishes. She felt weird giving any opinion, so she remained silent. The maid, noticing her unease, gently placed the tray on the bed in front of her.
"There are only nutritious, healthy foods we've prepared for you tonight," the maid said politely. "But if you want something else, you can order."
Leah still didn’t respond. She just stared at the food in front of her, completely emotionless. She couldn’t understand why they were treating her so well when she was of no use to them. She had no information on Ander, nothing that could help them, so why go to all this trouble?
But her stomach growled loudly, and the longer she stared at the food, the more her hunger took over.
"I'm fine," Leah muttered quietly. "I don't really have preferences for anything."
Her eyes began to tear up as she spoke, the weight of everything she was going through hitting her all at once. But controlling her emotions, Leah reached for the fork and began eating in silence.
Once she was done with her dinner, another maid came in and handed her a small cup of medicine. Leah didn’t put up any resistance. She took the medicine, swallowing it without making a fuss. Afterward, she lay down on the bed, pulling the blanket over herself, her mind swirling with thoughts.
Leah knew she needed to escape. She couldn’t stay here and let herself be trapped by this unknown man or anyone else. But for now, she would wait until the night grew deeper, hoping for a chance to get away.
