Act 32 : Frandemulo

2018 Words
Deino Gunnar and Giga have eradicated two of the beast with ease. The gigantic zombie’s surveillance mode has put them below the edge of purple sword. In the same way of his new companion’s brute force, the legendary warrior sliced away one of the scorpion’s tail in a single s***h. He teared down both of them in fury, afterwards, neglecting its motionless figure at most. (tap-tap-tap) “Thanks, Deino! I owe you one.” Juno Rumondor patted the legendary warrior’s back,"Now, let's collect these venoms for samples."  Of course, the team’s captain paid a visit to the scorpion’s gushes of venom and bottled some of them for research. He would spend no time in contemplation for such luxury of rare substance before his eyes. (boom!) “Gotcha, baby! You’re making me proud, Goni!” Frank Terino yelled, patting the living dead’s back in pride. On the other way around, a living dead with mortar projectiles laid charges of combustion to the remaining arachnids ahead. Frank Terino has been planted himself on the long-range zombie’s side, controlling His sniper-head zombie’s flow of strategy for the battle. Damon’s mind was flowing with surge of energy by red-induced power. His head is liberated from the wristwatch’s constriction, anyway, because Juno Rumondor placed nothing of the sort to the wristwatch’s program. (jab!) Damon’s keris penetrated into the scorpion’s head. Its exo-skeleton can no longer withstand the half-zombie’s assault due to mortar’s direct blow to the beast’s figure. He does this in similar way for the other scorpion zombie on the right with the black dagger at the same time. However, their fight is far from over. The earthworm was lurking below their feet. They have no exact plan on fighting such form of beast in general, happening to have only shovels to dig underground. Desert’s sands are making it more difficult for them to locate its point of revelation. Its wriggling figure transpired within heaps of yellowish-brown particles of dust, targeting them around many blind spot of their stance. “Ah, I got an idea! Come forth, honey, we need to fill this with water.” Juno Rumondor clicked on his wristwatch’s panel, initiated numerous instructions to the female zombie before him. (beep-beep) ‘Water burst mode initiated.’ A swift seconds later to Juno Rumondor’s input of command, Juno’s elemental zombie put her arms downwards. Her eyes were lingering in blue for extending the prominence on the battlefield. Its two hollow palms were aimed to the sands beneath for a certain mode of assault. The female beast’s feet are in depth of sands below, sinking to the tiny bits of rocks and pebbles underneath. “Ready for combat, fellas. The earthworm has five hearts to attack.” The captain informed, putting his scimitar to the front,”It is fond of sands, so that means it hates water.” “We should get out, then, right?” Damon asked,”We can’t fight inside a quicksand.” Juno Rumondor denied his answer by a shook,”No, if we move out, the beast will do the same. Either way, we have to trap him under the flood.” (click-click) By such plan in emergence, the captain flicks on the wristwatch to follow. Juno Rumondor activated the wagon’s floating system for awhile to prevent it on being stuck within the mixture. There are four jet nozzles below the carriage’s beds for the hovering mechanism to enact. As it switched on, the jet pours down a highly-concentrated stream of winds for constant levitation above the ground. “All set. You can do your job now, honey.” He gazed at his zombie partner, who was laying its attention to the sand’s surface all this time. (bwoosh!) To the captain’s order, the female zombie unleashed liters of liquid from her tiny arms into the sand’s crevice. It quickly dispersed within the sand’s tiny pores and blending thoroughly at once. Introduction of liquid made the desert’s sand to change in shape. It glows darker by steady amount of water that was rushing in and made a circular spot on the ground shortly after, growing bigger by each spurting fluid that entered. “Oh, I’m not gonna love this....” Tanya Rushdi pouted,”You’ll have to buy me a new dress, Juno.” “It’s better to have this than being startled all day because of the earthworm, right?” The captain answered, laying a grin to his face,”But we don’t know how many of them, so far.” Placing one hand on his temple, Zeno Gunnar tried to detect any upcoming monstrosity that would come to their way. The man’s white aura finds no further enemies to fight against within 10 kilometers radius. Only critters and small bugs were moving within the sand’s dry contour, hiding their bodies to the vicious heat of afternoon’s sunlight. “I can’t locate any foes in 10 kilometers ahead of the road.” Zeno Gunnar implied. Narrow-eyed, Juno Rumondor placed one of his eyebrows upwards,”We have about 30 kilometers left, you know?” He muttered,”It means that’s more likely for us to meet another, Zeno?” “Yeah, I guess.” Zeno Gunnar shrugged. As the water fills up within, desert sands’ surface started to bring them descended at the same time. The sand’s mud enveloped their feet and driven them down to its bowel. No matter how much they struggle, it would only bring them sunken even faster. Of course, it goes in similar way to the living dead nearby. They tried to exert an utmost energy to escape, yet it comes to no avail. (click-click) “Be calm, father.” Zeno Gunnar shuttered off his three zombie’s feral mind for some time, as well as everybody else in this battle. A living dead’s mind will surely initiate thrashing attitude for ample response of the sudden entrapment under their bottoms. The sand’s liquefaction would suck them within as soon as they harshly struggle and bring them buried afterwards. “I can see it now.... the earthworm is held by the pressure.” Zeno Gunnar blurted. His eyes are closed down to reach the beast’s exact position underneath,”It can’t move an inch.” He continued, nodding to his own perception of the earthworm’s state. Tanya Rushdi sighed,”So, we don’t really have to fight that beast? Why do we have to get sticky here, gramps?” “Yeah, kind of. We do have to stay on its aim for ensuring it would be entombed.” Juno Rumondor replied, then glances over his crews to say a word,“And now, it’s patching-up time, friends! We’ll have to get out from here, or else anyone could take advantage against us in this state.” --- It takes one and a quarter hour to get out from the quicksand they had created. Each one of them has to pull it up slowly for successful extraction. In one minute, the squad could only have one centimeter upwards, and they have been buried in halfway of their waist. For the living dead of their group, otherwise, It needs to be done in rather different method. They have to separate their bodies into two beforehand for hauling them out from the muddle. Indeed, an extra 4 hours for Tonado Fighting club to attach their entrapped zombie back into its prime has been added to their schedule. (tang-tang) The group finished any recurring reparation after the ray of sunset has beckoned. Juno Rumondor leads the squad’s attempt to put on their beast’s figure. Frank Terino and Tanya Rushdi has been there for assisting the captain’s position at the time. To connect their torso to the waist, it needs meticulous stitch of metal-embroidered yarn, and nobody could do it better than those two for the time being. After cleaning up the leftovers of their living dead’s dinner, Tonado fighting club continues their journey to Frandemulo. Their wagon has depleted most of its battery because of hovering for a long period, so the Fist-fighter zombie has to tug them with its might manually. By chance, their convoy has no further enemies’ engagement to the rest of their travel. (kriek-kriek) A delicate aroma of Gourmet-cooked food has flown into their perception. The famous wooden gate of Frandemulo appeared before their convoy and welcomed them with its intricate design. Alongside its regular crown-circles on both of its handle, there are its own distinctive features on the front side of the door. It has a wide panorama of the city’s renowned hip-and gable roof on the top, resembled the city’s commitment to preserve their traditional culture at most. Across the panel’s surface, heaps of fish, crabs and lobsters are gathered on the city’s famous bay. Ahead of the door’s entrance, truncated potted plants elaborate themselves on the both side of the brick-adorned entryway. From Zeno Gunnar’s knowledge, those are shrunken pine trees, one of the most expensive decoration ever existed. Deino Gunnar has always been fond off with them in the past. He bought one, and it costs around 7000 gold coins of Numonia. That charged him approximately 5.000.000 virtual dollars in Minopia’s money. (beam) The red light appeared and scanning them in profound. ‘Welcome, Tonado Fighting club. Please turn to the left for zombie storage afterwards.’ (kriek-kriek) As the automated scanner completed its function, the wagon could carry on moving into the city subsequently. The door opened wide in sluggish speed and sliding inwards for them to enter. It unfurls the pristine atmosphere of Frandemulo’s delightful evening to the group in every inches of its progress. In each skidding movement of the door, the convoy sees many forms of finesse to enjoy. For the start, the door’s gap unveiled numerous lanterns that ornamented the street’s partition of Frandemulo’s zombie storage with their city’s main road. Those were made in papers that enshrined its perpetual flame within. As the streams of wind blows, it wiggled to the same direction with the ones they encountered. “Look at that..... This is awesome!” Zeno Gunnar clamored. To his compliment, Tanya Rushdi agreed. “Yeah, baby. I’ve looked at their city’s scenery countless times, and I’m still in love.” She clings to her man’s robust arm, holding it intact for her prop to sightseeing ardently,” Look, that’s a hotel. Let’s book a room and doing a happy time, okay?” She teased. Instead of complaining to the show of affection Tanya Rushdi had, Juno Rumondor also admired Frandemulo’s refined taste of art and pretended to see none of her actions at all. His pupils glistened to the main entryway’s sliding doors. Shaking his head steadily, the captain also flattered on seeing such uniqueness of the city’s architecture and having himself standing still. But, none of the city’s residents are there to note. “Ahhh, we have to hurry. The city’s curfew is coming.” Juno Rumondor said. The captain ensured of his presumption by taking a look at their surroundings for a moment,” Yup, we have to stash our zombie. No time to rest, unfortunately, because we have to fight tonight.’
