The trio sat in the dining room while their mothers finished up in the kitchen. As the guys journeyed in from the garage and food was being set out, Marla came bursting through the front door.
"I made it just in the nick of time."
"Yes, you did. So glad that you can join us." The aunts rolled their eyes while some others inwardly groaned.
"Well, hello. I don't think that we have met." Marla made a beeline straight for Tyler which threw him a little off guard. "I definitely would have remembered meeting you."
"Uh, hi. Nice to meet you. I'm Tyler, Libby's boyfriend."
Marla looked at Tyler, then at Libby, then back to Tyler. "Well, what happened to Kevin?"
"She divorced the jackass," Dan said, slightly annoyed. "Can we please sit and eat?"
