Libby walked over and sat on Tyler's lap. "Hey."
"Hey, Baby."
"What's going on? What's wrong?"
"I'm fine."
"That's good to hear but that is not what I asked you."
"Later. Not here. Not right now."
His reply and tone caught Libby off guard. "Okay. I won't push right now, but later on we are going to talk about this."
"Okay." Tyler wrapped his arms around Libby and took a deep breath. He needed this calming moment. He had to hold her tight for just a moment and think. Was all of this aggravation and drama going to be worth it in the long run? He really loved this woman but all the confrontations with her mother were starting to wear on him. He didn't know how much longer he could tolerate the blatant disregard and disrespect for their relationship.
