The dining room was completely silent. Libby stood there with her mouth open, Dan just as shocked by the words that came out of his wife’s mouth. This had gone far enough. There was no need to say something like that.
Tyler was pretty thick skinned and could handle a lot but hearing Bonnie compare him to and call him a pedophile really touched a nerve. "Uh, I think that it is time for me to leave. Dan, would you mind giving Libby a ride home?" Tyler's words were barely audible. He went to kiss Libby on the cheek but stopped. He tried to hold his head up as he walked out the door and out to the truck, not waiting to hear any thing that any one else had to say.
