Luke groaned as he rolled over in bed reaching for Emily. When he realised, she wasn’t there he opened his eyes and looked around the room. They were on the second floor and Emily was sitting on a chair by the window,
“Watcha doin?” He asked in his best Aussie accent.
Emily laughed. “I’m watching the birds. They are beautiful. I have seen lorikeets and parrots according to this.” She said holding out her phone.
Luke walked over and sat on the chair at the other side of the table. He glanced at her phone and then out at the tree.
“Wow, they really are beautiful.” He agreed. “I never noticed things like this back home.”
“That’s because you were usually at the office.” Emily reminded him, getting up to go sit on his lap.
“Careful, that could get dangerous.” Luke warned with a win
