Blane stepped onto the veranda at the Medical Centre and poked his head in looking for Doc.
Beth came out of the room Lilly and Bob were in with a smile.
“Are you ok?” She asked, walking towards him.
Blane nodded. “I am now. Is Doc around?”
“Over at the pub.” She smiled. Blane turned to walk away when Beth called out to him. “Hey, you know you are always welcome right? I know you aren’t here to replace Jack.”
“I know I never could.” He replied with a smile. “I am truly humbled and grateful for your kindness.”
Beth nodded as she walked back into the room.
Blane stepped off the veranda and walked towards the pub. As he walked inside the dimly lit room he could hear the usual chatter.
“Blaney, what can I get ya mate?” Davo asked.
“Maybe just a soft drink for now Davo, thanks.” B
