It was almost impossible to breathe through the slicing cold wind, and her chest felt incredibly tight. The air seemed too pure, way too cold as she steadily inhaled with each step. They were wandering, still looking for somewhere to stay that was both safe and far away from the resort. Adam directed her to walk directly behind him so she wouldn’t get the brunt of the blowing wind. She had to admit she was grateful for his protection. She’d be in even more pain had he not suggested it.
