Terrie burst through the door that led to outside. The cold immediately assaulted her as if she ran headfirst into a hard wall of ice that aggressively knocked her back. The wind was whipping the snow around in flurries, making it hard for her to see and burning her nose so thoroughly, even with the shirts pulled up around her face, her eyes watered and stung at the sudden pain. It didn’t help that she had to carry the duffel bag on her weak frame and fight through the snow to find Adam who was all but lost to her. But she kept in mind the things that could work in her favor. Namely, it helped that he was so large.
