Terrie jolted awake, chest clenching in pain as she tried to catch her breath. She felt like she was falling, crashing against some jagged surface that, unfortunately, didn’t kill her immediately upon impact. Instead, as she let her senses get accumulated to her current surroundings, she could tell she was laying on a soft surface. Perhaps a bed. A real one.
