As soon as they got to Isolo's compound, every where looked deserted. Isolo couldn't find her mom nor their house. Luckily they found a man who looked familiar to Isolo. Mr Henry called him and asked about Isolo's mom. The man gave Isolo the most shocking news she has ever heard. "Sir, please we need your help. We are looking for this girl's mother". Mr Henry said. "Well, sir, most people left this village after the terrible famine. Only very few of us were brave to remain and we are all men. So, I'm sorry, I have no idea." He replied. "Sir, is there any place you think they would be?" Isolo asked with tears streaming down her cheeks. "You can check the neighbouring communities." The man said before leaving. "God please. Let me see my mom." Isolo cried "Stop crying. You would see your mom. And if you can't find her, then you won't have any other choice, but to live with my family." Mr Henry said. Isolo just kept on crying. She didn't want to go back to his house. After two stressing hours of trekking and asking if directions, Isolo finally saw her mother's best friend. She ran to meet her. "Good afternoon ma." Isolo greeted cheerfully. 'God has finally bless me' Isolo thought in her head. "Good afternoon my daughter. Your face looks a little bit familiar." She said. "Ahh, aunty, have you forgotten your friend's daughter?" Isolo asked "I've so many friends, so which one are you referring to?" She asked "I'm referring to my mom who is Mrs Joy." Isolo replied. Her mood cheerful changed to that of fear when she saw tears in the woman's eyes. "My daughter, why did you come back to remind me of your mother. Don't tell me you don't know what happened to your mother." The woman said with tears in her eye. Isolo was really scared. "Madam, what happened to her mom?"Mr Henry asked. "Ma please, stop crying and tell me where my mother is." Isolo said, her breathing increased rapidly. "Your mother passed away three months ago. I'm sorry they didn't call you to pay your last respect" She replied feeling to sorry for Isolo. "M...m... my mo..m d..I..e.d?" Isolo felt the world spinning. Her legs couldn't carry her weight any longer. Her head felt like it struck a hard rock. She began to gasp for air. Her legs could no longer carry her weight. She fainted. "Isolo!!Iisssoolooo!"The woman screamed her name. Mr Henry was shocked. In that area, there was only one hospital which was two hours drive from there. They called for help. Someone volunteered to use his car. They drove her to the hospital. Before the doctor could attend to her, she passed away. The woman cried her eyes out. Mr Henry left the hospital to his house. Isolo's body was buried near her mother's grave. Mr and Mrs Henry with their remaining daughter left the country, never to return because they were scared of going to prison for child abuse.
