Hazel’s POV Saturday, 18th January. The music was low in my as I jogged. For some reason, I preferred the traditional earpieces– not the wireless ones. There was just something about it– the feel of the cord, bouncing alongside me as I jogged–that balanced me. Call me old school, but I found it soothing. The jogging helped. After everything that had happened, going through my routine was the only thing stopping me from lashing out. It was something I’d always done since I was young. It was my way of channeling whatever excess energy or tension that had built up within my body. Of course, Derek didn't like that. According to him, ‘Running was not for girls,’ His go-to choice of exercise was lifting weights. That was if he ever got his lazy ass out of the house and to the gym.
