Aiden opened his mouth to say something, but I cut him off. “Don't bother,” I said, At this point, I didn't want any explanation; there was no need. “I’ve already stated my boundaries,” I continued, “but, it looks like I'm also the one that crossed it.” My voice carried a tone of defeat and surrender. How was it they said– It is what it is. Releasing a breath, I turned around to leave. “Wait, damnit!” He cursed from behind me as his hands came to my shoulder. Taking hold of me, he turned me around to face him. Letting out a breath, he bent low a bit, looking eyeballs to eyeballs at me, “Tell me, what exactly did you see?” he asked, his voice steely.
