Eliara's Pov The early morning haze lingered over the Lancaster estate, soft light casting long shadows across the marble floors. I hadn't slept. After Alexander’s stormy exit, every creak and murmur in the house left me on edge. I kept watching the front doors, hoping, praying, he wouldn’t come back broken. My heart ached with uncertainty. Jasail emerged from the hallway, his shirt crumpled, tie loosened, and eyes rimmed with exhaustion. He looked at me but said nothing for a long moment. Only the silence stood between them. “Still no word from him,” I whispered. Jasail rubbed his hands through his hair, pacing. “He’s either doing something incredibly brave… or incredibly stupid.” I stood up, my voice firmer than I felt. “Either way, he’s going in alone. We can’t just sit here.”
