Eliara's POV The rain had returned. Thin sheets of silver cascading over twisted metal and ruins, washing away blood but not memory. Inside the rusted shell of a broken locomotive, I sat alone, cradling Naomi’s comm-chip like a relic. “Please,” i whispered. “Be in there.” Jasail was outside rigging solar panels, trying to power an uplink.
