Eliara's POV The next morning, I woke up to the soft rustle of curtains being drawn open by the house staff. Sunlight spilled into the room, diffused by sheer ivory drapes. The air was crisp, fresh, and carried the faint scent of lavender, someone had placed a vase of fresh flowers on my nightstand. It all felt curated, controlled, much like my life now. My bed was empty, Jasail had left before dawn, again, no note, no text message. Just the lingering warmth on one side of the bed that vanished too quickly.
