Eliara's POV The Lancaster estate was quiet. I stood in front of the full-length mirror in my new room, fingers grazing the delicate lace of the navy-blue gown Jasail had gifted it to me. It clung to my curves, elegant yet almost too revealing, the fabric whispering secrets across my skin. A thin slit ran up my thigh, just high enough to be scandalous. The mirror showed a woman i barely recognized, one forged in betrayal and laced in silk. Behind me, the door clicked open. I didn’t have to look, I can always sense him from afar. “I didn’t think you’d come in without knocking,” I said, my voice cool as winter frost. Jasail stepped in anyway, his eyes dark with something unreadable. “You’re my wife now. Privacy is a privilege, not a right.” My eyes flared in the mirror at his words.
