I was angry. Of course, I was, and rightfully so. She had promised to be back before sundown. We had agreed upon this, and I had been so worried when the sun had gone down and she hadn’t come home. Especially because of what I had discussed with my father, I feared someone might try to hurt her just to get to me.
So, I had taken matters into my own hands and went to find her, and it angered me even more to find her perfectly fine. At least if she had been k*dnapped, I couldn't blame that on her.
However, her shaking and the way she had closed her eyes, as if I were going to harm her, just made me wonder how she was punished at home, and so, instead, I tried to push all my worry away and focus on something else, like how dirty she had gotten. It seemed like she wasn’t afraid
