Don't tell Dad!

{The Next morning}

I woke up 20 minutes before my alarm was set to go off, so I got up to go for a shower. I was feeling down this morning because of being made to come back to Sundale meant that I wouldn’t get away with half of the s**t that I used to so I put my ‘Sad Songs’ Playlist on and started singing along to the songs, when Train Wreck By James Arthur came on I turned the water off to make my voice stronger and sang the lyrics with the perfect amount of pain so that the song sounded perfect. Sorry did I forget to mention that while Stiles is good at sports me and Kaden are amazing singers, and we are great dancers. I got out of the shower leaving the music on and started to blow dry my hair, I then did my eyeliner perfectly and went to get dressed in the shitty clothes Kaden gave me.

“Asher” I heard my dad say as he knocked on the door.

“Yes dad” I said making sure not to call him daddy like I usually did so that he knew I still wasn’t happy about having to come back to Sundale for school.

“I heard you singing, you sounded amazing.” He paused before speaking again “are you almost ready to go, I know your not happy about this but until you tell me why you burnt down Cliffside high this is what has to happen. Are you ready to tell me?” he questioned, and I could tell that he was upset that I was still mad at him, and this made me feel bad, I had a really great dad, but I can’t tell him why I did it, not yet. It’s not his fault and I understand why he is doing all of this.

“Thanks daddy I have really been working on my signing” I said with a smile as I started getting dressed. “And I’m just getting dressed, I’ll be done in a minute and I’m sorry daddy, but you know I’m not going to tell you why I did it but don’t worry I’m not mad about going to Sundale High, I understand. I’ll meet you downstairs.” I said as I pulled on my high waisted black ripped jeans and my black and white high tops, I put on the clothes Kaden gave me and shoved a lose black heavy metal singlet in my bag, you know the ones that have the arm holes that go to the waist band of your pants.

I grabbed my credit card and put it in phone case and put my books along with my wireless speaker in my bag, I then grabbed my phone and my Bluetooth earbuds and put them in my pocket before checking to make sure that my wallet was already in my bag and saw that my smokes and lighter were also still there before grabbing my bag and walking out of my room and to the stairs.

When I got to the stairs, I saw Kaden waiting for me at the top like always

“You ready” he asked as he looked up from his book. OMG why is he acting like such a nerd.

“let’s make deal” I said as I looked at his book in irritation.

“Fine I’ll leave the book at home and promise to stay with you today and do everything you do as long as it isn’t illegal or dangerous. but you must-” “stay on school grounds for the whole day, yeah I know.” I cut him off as he threw his book on a side table near the stairs. We smiled as we walked downstairs talking about how we had practice singing Unstoppable By SIA at some point today before we sing it to our mother tonight. We made a deal with our mom that we didn’t need to take singing lessons and in order for use to not have to take them anymore we have to sing at least one song a week to our mother and she choose the song this week because we would just sing songs that we knew so now we actually need to practice and while we now know the song we still want to practice before tonight and we know that she will ask us to sing it as soon as we get home tonight there for we are going to have to find a quite and private place to practice at school.

“Maybe they have a band room at the school or a music practice room we can sing in” Kaden suggested.

“I have my speaker so we could just find a nice and secluded place outside if the practice rooms are busy” I told he when we finally made it down the stairs.

“It’s about time” Stiles said with a joking angry face as he got up to go have breakfast.

Kaden and I followed behind him into the kitchen where we found our mother making breakfast.

“I hope your Hungry” she said with a smile before turning to me “I heard you this morning, it was very beautiful and passionate.” If you couldn’t tell our Mother Mel Lakewood used to be a singer and now produces music and while Kaden and I can’t write a song to save out lives she is amazing at it.

“Does that mean I don’t have to sing Unstoppable tonight” I said with a hopeful smile.

“Nice try buddy but I’m not you dad that won’t work on me” she responded in a sassy tone “I’ll be hearing that song tonight and it better be good or you’re going back to lessons” she said with a sly smile as she started to serve our breakfast.

“Hey, what is that supposed to mean” my dad said regarding the comment about him.

Our mother turned on our dad then and simply said “he burned down a school and all your punishing him with is coming back to Sundale, Jake I don’t care that you go easy on he but don’t pretend like you don’t” mom said was one eyebrow raised challenging him to disagree. To defuse the conversation, I grabbed my plate from mom, gave her a kiss on the cheek with a quirk “thanks” then went and placed my plate at the spot to my dads left and started talking to him about what car we would be taking to school today, already knowing that it would be the limo and like always I was right.

“The limo and it will be here in 5 minutes for hurry and eat” dad said with a smile.

We all ate in silence then Stiles, Kaden and I said our goodbyes and left for school. The driver asked what playlist we wanted to listen to on the way to school and before Stiles could Say something Dumb Kaden and I said “THE BAD b***h PLAYLIST” in unison.

When we where half a mile from the school I told the driver to turn the music off so I could talk to my sibling before we got to school.

“If either of you tell dad about this before the school day has ended, I will kill you both” I said

“About what” Kaden asked skeptically but I didn’t have time to explain as we were nearly at the school carpark, so I took off the sweater vest and button up and pulled on my singlet before fixing my hair and pulling on some of the rings I had in my bag an putting a silver clip chain on my belt loops and quickly pulling on my black beanie and put on silver chain necklace along with a few silver bracelets.
