What do you play?

I slip through my college buddies and try to get to the damn machine to get something to munch on, but it's packed. All the students started coming to college. I was no longer alone. I had no choice, Mario was always by my side. We always talked, joked, and it distracted me from that woman who kept making advances on me and became much more insistent than before. It has become much more annoying than before. He's jealous. I don't know why. He doesn't have me, he has no right to be jealous of another boy. I will never be his. I care about my heart and I won't let it be trampled on by a boy like Tristan. I'm not just a trophy or a name on a list, I can't be that. "Raven, is it true?" says Oriana's voice, who doesn't even know how she got to me. "What can be true?" I asked, confused. What does it refer to? "It's rumored that you're together with Tristan, but you're cheating on him with Mario," she says, and I lose my cool in mid-sentence. Where did this rumor come from? "There is no such thing. I will never be with Tristan." It can't be, I deny vehemently, and I see the glint in her eyes return. "It means you like Mario, right?" she says excitedly, making me laugh. "Not necessarily, we've gotten pretty close these days." And besides, you know we've been friends for years. I watch as the blonde's facial expression changes into a grimace. I turned to the point where she remained frozen with her gaze and notice Laura, one of Tristan's best friends. I immediately rolled my eyes when the big master also came into the picture. I avoid eye contact and order what I want from this bitter jukebox. "Raven, they're coming towards us," Oriana's voice warns me, but I don't have time to react because they were already right by us. "Hi, Raven," he said, and I looked back at him. He was grinning at me, typical. I chose to walk past him and go into the classroom, but before I chose two steps, I heard the juice. "You have good taste, I like it" he said, lifting the can to be visible to me, then a grin said all. The beauty appeared on his face. I try to keep my cool, so I don't make a scene in the middle of the hall, but his behavior isn't helping me. "You can keep it." I couldn't drink anymore after you drank, I said, then I made a smile, going into the lecture hall. I listen to the words of the teacher, who simply does not stop talking. Of all the teachers, Mrs. Mara is the most tiring and boring, of course. I struggle to stay focused, but everything distracts me. I look at almost every corner of the classroom when that annoying grin distracts me. What are you doing here? It's the first thought that crosses my mind. Our eyes meet and the blue of his eyes completely captures my attention. I stand still completely captivated by that color until the bell rings. I woke up from my trance. What the hell was that phase? I sighed loudly, then grabbed my things and walked out of the classroom still confused. How could I be so distracted by him? I can't imagine what was going through my head. "Raven, wait!" Mario's cry is heard, which makes me stop. I turned to him and saw him quite agitated. What happened? He closes his eyes then sighs loudly as he adjusts his position in front of me. "Do you want to go out at night?" he says, making me laugh, all this panic just to invite me to a park at night? "Yes why not?" I said, then I waited for him to tell me the time to meet. "Then I'll see you at the park near the college, at twenty, ok?" he says OK, then nods and move on. The hours fly by, and I can't wait to get out of this room. I'm sick and tired of listening to the same completely bored professors for hours on end. I sighed, then looked at the clock and notice that the time I was supposed to meet with Mario had arrived and that I was going to be late. I hurry as much as I can, sneaking through my colleagues who can't wait to leave too. "Raven!" a voice is heard, but I don't stop. I continue to walk towards the exit, then immediately go to the park. I try to get there as fast as I can, but when I finally do, I notice I'm twenty minutes late. I look for Mario, but something tells me he's gone until two hands cover my eyes, making me laugh. "Who is, ?" he says, forcing his voice to sound different, but I already knew it was him. "Hmm, maybe Mario?" I say, then his laugh is heard, and he removes his hands from my eyes. "You're late," he says grumpily. "You know what it's like when all the classes are over." "Listen, I don't want to piss you off or anything, but I think Tristan and his friends are here too," he says, making me turn my head quickly. He really was, and his grin tells me he clearly knew I'd be here. I don't understand how stupid this man can be. "Look Raven, I've seen it's causing you a lot of stress and I think I know how we can stop it," he says while I sit down on a wooden table where the picnic should be served, but it doesn't matter. "Can we?" I asked, curious as to why he spoke in the plural. "To remove him you have to be in a relationship. And..." "And?" I said, confused. Is he really going to ask me to be with him? "I thought we should be together" he says with difficulty, avoiding eye contact as much as possible. I smiled softly, forcing him to look into my eyes. I see his glimmer of hope and it amuses me. It would be a very good idea if we didn't dislike each other, and we understood each other. Besides, it will appease Mister Tristan. "I think that's a very good idea," I said, watching his smile widen. "God, I'm so glad you said that!" he says, then his phone rings. He talked for minutes, forcing me to look around. I notice his icy eyes immediately. He looks at me like a prey. I rolled my eyes and waited for Mario to finish speaking. "I'm sorry, Raven. We have to go, we'll talk tomorrow if there is" he says, and I nod. I got off the table and hugged him under Tristan's watchful eyes. A grin comes out of me as I see him clench his jaw. I then watch Mario walk away and disappear completely from the park, and then I make my way home. I hear movement behind me, then a hand forcefully turns me towards his face. I notice the color of his eyes, they were much darker than usual. He clenches his jaw then lets go of my hand. "What do you think you're doing, Raven?" he says, visibly irritated. "It's not your problem!" I told him, laughing, watching his muscles tense up. "Why are you playing with me?" "I have no game to play with you, Tristan understands that" I said as I left him behind. I hope he got his message this time.
