--- The dimly lit room was thick with tension, as Mira stood frozen, her body tense and trembling, his lips hovered dangerously close to hers. His breath warm against her skin, with his hands boldly exploring her hips with possessive intent. Her mind screamed at her to pull away, to break free from this suffocating proximity, but her body refused to obey. It felt as if invisible chains held her in place, her limbs heavy and unresponsive she closed her eyes ready for anything that happens. He chuckled softly, a twisted smile curling on his lips as he leaned in even closer. His voice was a low whisper, mocking and seductive. "You're such an obedient bunny, ain't you?" Before she could react, a loud bang on the door shattered the tense silence. The pounding was relentless, urgent, as if demanding immediate attention. Mira's eyes snapped open .she knew this was her chance to escape from this strange but alluring man she quickly hatched an escape plan in her mind as soon as the door opens she'll make for a run .The voice outside was rough and mocking. "Open up! We know you're in there!" The man's expression turned cold not because of her but the intruders banging on the door He made no move to back away. Instead, he simply tilted his head, watching her with a predatory gaze. Mira's eyes widened in panic, her mind racing for an escape. She tried to push him away, to break free from his grip, but her body remained uncooperative, as if caught in a spell. Her senses were dulled, her thoughts muddled—she felt trapped, helpless in the grip of alcohol, fear, and confusion. As if Lady Luck was on her side the door suddenly burst open with a rush of noise. A group of guards stormed into the room, their eyes widening in shock at the scene before them. Mira's cheeks flushed crimson with embarrassment as she realized what they must be seeing—her vulnerable and exposed, with the man inches from her face but all she cared about was to find a way to escape from this mysterious man. For a moment, the guards froze, stunned silent by the unexpected tableau. Then, realizing the gravity of the situation, they quickly averted their gazes, turning their backs "we are very s-sorry sir we saw her entering and thought she was........"Their faces flushed with embarrassment, they pretended they hadn't seen anything, their voices fraught with awkwardness. The man, still close to Mira, made no effort to move away. Instead, he simply smirked, watching her with a sinister calmness. Mira's eyes darted around in panic, desperate for an out. She seized her chance. Her heart pounding wildly, she pushed past the guards, her legs trembling but driven by a surge of adrenaline. She hurried out of the room, her mind set on escape. As she burst into the hallway, she didn't look back. . she finally spotted Mia and Ivy near the edge of the crowd, as she maneuvered through the dance floor her steps unsteady their faces was filled with concern as they hurried toward her. "Mira! We've been looking everywhere for you," Mia said, her voice filled with relief. "Are you okay? You look upset." Ivy reached out and gently touched her arm. "You've been gone for so long. What's going on?" Mira forced a small smile and shook her head softly. "I'm fine," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "Really. Just... can we go home now?" Mia and Ivy exchanged a quick glance, their worry still evident. But they didn't press her. Instead, Ivy nodded gently. "Of course. Let's get you out of here." Mira offered a faint smile, grateful for their understanding. She didn't tell them what had just happened—how scared she'd been, or the man who had made her feel so vulnerable. She simply nodded again, her mind already racing to put the night behind her. As they moved toward the exit, Mira kept her eyes fixed on the ground, her thoughts swirling with relief and lingering unease. Once outside, she took a deep breath of the cool night air, feeling the weight of the night slowly lifting from her shoulders. They walked in silence, and Mira silently promised herself that she would find the strength to face whatever came next. For now, all she needed was to be safe, surrounded by friends who cared. When they reached their room Mira hesitated for a moment before turning to Mia and Ivy. "Thanks," she whispered softly. "Really. I just... need some time to myself." They nodded understandingly, and Mira watched as they said their good nights and headed to bed.Alone now, she laid on her bed her mind still haunted by what she had experienced and she couldn't stop thinking about the strange guy she just met and how much he affected her . --- Karl sat on his bed, his gaze fixed on a small card he held in his hand. Earlier on he just needed to clear his mind, so he booked a suite in the club and decided to take a shower. But as he stepped outside the bathroom, he unexpectedly found himself face-to-face with her—the girl whose face had been etched into his mind, the one who has been able to mess up his life without him even knowing her She was in his suite. At first, Karl froze, surprised. His eyes narrowed as he studied her, trying to make sense of the situation. She acted as if she didn't know him, her expression blank, evasive. That only piqued his curiosity further. If she truly didn't recognize him, then perhaps he could find out if she was affected by his presence—or if she was just pretending. A wicked idea flickered in his mind. Maybe he could get close to her, tease her, push her boundaries, to see if she would react. To see if her facade was real or just a game. He wondered whether she was afraid, or perhaps intrigued. Either way, he intended to find out. Before he could drag out his answers, she just slipped out of his hands when he let his guard down .He looked at the card again a smirk on his face "you think you can get away that easily little bunny ."he said to himself .Without hesitation, Karl picked up his phone and dialed a number. "Kariel," he said, his voice low and commanding, "I need you to find any information you can on a girl named Mira Rubyson." He paused, listening to the response on the other end, his mind already working through his next steps. Whatever secrets she was hiding, he was determined to uncover them. --- G/K What do you think about this chapter It's so nice to have you all reading and supporting my novel thanks you all darkbounders Kindly vote and leave a comment ;)
