Chapter 29

Author's POV…

Harrison began a thorough search in Paulene's room, he literally turned her room upside down and made sure he searched every single object in her room.

He searched her make up box, her wardrobes and so many other stuff in her room.

He searched for more than fifteen minutes but saw nothing, he wondered what the poison looked like.

To his disappointment, he didn't find the antidote.

He sighed and looked at the room and the mess he had created, her clothes and personal things were already scattered on the floor.

"Where could she have possibly kept it?" He thought about looking around the room.

His eyes fell on the toilet door and he rushed into the toilet. He began a thorough search and made sure he searched every nook and cranny of the toilet but he couldn't find anything.

"Doesn't she have it?" He thought, closing the toilet door behind him.

Jolene has less than thirty hours to live, he doesn't have enough time.

"What if she doesn't really have the antidote and is just trying to get her way with me by fooling me?" He thought and suddenly clenched her fist.

"That b***h!" He cussed and gulped so hard.

He needs to think of another way to get the antidote, he can't bear it if he loses Jolene.

He truly likes her alot and is ready to go to any length to make sure she lives.

"If I lose Jolene, I won't spare you Paulene." He swore and began arranging her things and putting her stuff the way it was before.

As he began arranging her numerous facial treatments on her dressing table, he saw something at the back of the mirror that caught his attention.

There was a mirror on her dressing table.

It was a small bottle that contained a red liquid, Harrison grabbed it and studied it closely.

"Could this be the antidote?" He thought and immediately hid in his breast pocket.

He is going to show the pack doctor, atleast, he would be able to identify what it really is.

"I really hope it is the antidote," he muttered and continued arranging her stuff.

He suddenly heard the squeezing of the door knob and he froze.

"What the heck! Why can't I open the door?"

He heard Paulene's voice and gulped,

"Omg! What should I do?" He thought as he looked around the room.

He thought of hiding but that won't be a good idea, Paulene is very sensitive.

He looked around the room and checked if everything was in order,

"Who the hell is in my room!" Paulene yelled, banging the door loudly.

He exhaled sharply and took a few strides to the door, he unlocked the door and Paulene was surprised to see him.

"What are you doing in my room? How did you even get in without my keys?" She asked, dangling her keys in front of his face.

"I am sorry, I just had to check something, I will see you later." Harrison said and made to go out but Paulene pushed him back in and smirked.

"Did you finally agree to my condition?" She asked as her face brightened up.

"Paulene I…" she interrupted him with a light kiss.

"Say no more, you don't need to be shy, you were waiting for me right?" She whispered and suddenly pulled him closer.

She began caressing his chest and Harrison swallowed so hard, how was he going to leave without Paulene suspecting him?

She continued caressing his chest till she got to his breast pocket, she felt something and he immediately held her hand.

"I have to go," Harrison rushed his words and turned to leave, Paulene smartly rushed to his front before he left and grabbed the small bottle in his breast pocket.

Paulene smirked immediately, now she understands the reason why he was in her room.

"Give me that!" Harrison yelled and tried collecting the small bottle of red liquid from her hand but she rushed to her bed.

Harrison rushed after her and forcefully collected it back from her.

"I am never going to lose this, to hell with you and your stupid condition. Just know that once Jolene wakes, you're going to be dealt with." He yelled, breathing heavily.

Paulene suddenly began laughing so hard making Harrison appear like a fool.

Harrison looked at her with a confused look, why the hell was she laughing?

"It feels so good fooling you, I know you will end up searching my room so I just decided to play with you. The red liquid in that small bottle is blood tonic,"

"What?"

"Are you shocked? You think I am that foolish to keep the antidote in my room? Of course not, I am so smart and love the way I do my things, " Paulene said and continued laughing so hard.

Harrison decided not to believe her, maybe she was trying to collect it back from him.

"Don't you think at all? How can an antidote be thick and reddish in color? You can taste it if you still don't believe it, dumb ass! You're not smarter than me Harrison," she winked and continued laughing.

She suddenly brought out the real bottle of the blood tonic, Harrison then realized he had been fooled.

He opened the small bottle and inhaled the scent, it smells exactly like a blood tonic.

His face fell in disappointment, he clenched his fist angrily.

"Do you now believe?" She queried but he kept mute.

"Quit trying to be smarter than your ass and just accept my offer, it's just something simple you can do. You think Jolene would ever forgive you if she dies and then finds out in her after life that you had the opportunity to Dave her, but you threw that opportunity into the bin?

"C'mon, stop being too stubborn, I am so sweet, my p***y is sugar." She whispered with a seductive look and began smooching her breast.

Harrison stared at her with so much hatred and anger.

"f**k you!" He yelled throwing the small bottle on the wall, its contents spilled out and stained the walls and sheets.

Harrison then stormed out angrily,
