Author's POV…

"Don't worry, I would help you get your revenge on those rogues, I would make sure they pass through the same things you passed through. You are never going to get hurt by then anymore, it's a promise." Jolene assured and squeezed her hands soothingly.

"Thank you,"

"So, once you are fully healed, are you going back to that abandoned house in the woods?" Harrison asked and Zelda sighed.

"Yes, do I have any other place to go? I have no choice but to remain there, atleast, I have a peace of mind while staying there."

"What if I ask you to become my personal maid? Your accommodation and every other thing would be settled,"

Zelda's eyes widened immediately, becoming the personal maid of a Lycan king is a great honor.

"Are you serious?" Zelda asked and Jolene nodded positively.

"I sincerely want to help you get out of that abandoned house, so are you going to become my personal maid? You can reject it and just be living among us in my kingdom if you find it offensive,"

"Gosh! you're so nice, why would I reject that huge offer? I've always wanted to be close to you, yes, I am going to become your personal maid." Zelda accepted feeling so excited and Jolene smiled.

"So you're no longer returning to that old haggard house, you're not gonna get hurt or worried about being attacked at night. You're going to stay with me in my kingdom,"

Tears slipped out of Zelda's eyes, she was so happy, she has been struggling and has been alone all these years but she wouldn't have to do that anymore.

To her, Jolene is a moon goddess sent, she just feels so much joy right now.

"So once you're fully healed, you will begin to live as my personal maid, you don't have anything to worry about."

"Thank you so much Jolene, I am glad to have met you in the first place, I promise to serve you wholeheartedly and I would never betray you. I also promise that you're never going to regret making me your personal maid, I am going to take care of you." Zelda assured ad Jolene chuckled.

"Okay, I would be looking forward to you doing all of that. By the way, when did you leave Sharpedges pack?" Jolene inquired and Zelda sighed.

"A year ago,"

"Did anything happen? What of Alpha Maverick?" She inquired and Harrison's facial expression changed.

She wanted to know how the Sharp Edges pack is after all these, they must be living fine and must have forgotten about her, a long time ago.

Who knows, Alpha Maverick might have gotten married and must have had his own kids.

She feels that he deserved no happiness after pushing her to commit suicide.

"Nothing changed and you know I am nobody in the pack so I don't really know much."

"That's okay, you should have enough rest so you would heal faster, we would come check on you later. If you need anything, just ask any of the nurses and you would be attended to." Jolene left the ward with Harrison.

"Why did you suddenly ask about the Sharpedges pack? I thought you had forgotten about them?" Harrison suddenly asked as they got out of the clinic.

"Says who? I am visiting them soon," Jolene said and Harrison looked at her with a surprised look.

"What? Why are you so surprised? I thought I'd told you about this year's ago when you were still my trainer?" Jolene scoffed and Harrison gulped.

"But what's the need of going there anyways? Everyone must have forgotten about you, you should forget about them and move on with your life. Just focus on your kingdom and be a good leader." Harrison tried changing her mind, she looked at him swiftly.

"What nonsense are you talking about? What are you up to?" Jolene demanded and he went mute.

"How could you say that, Harrison?"

"I am sorry, I was just looking out for your safety."

He was really disturbed about Jolene visiting Sharp Edges pack, what if she gets back together with Maverick since they are nates and they never rejected each other?

He needs to stop her as soon as he can, he can't lose Jolene to any other man.

"I almost died because of Maverick's, I was humiliated and mistreated because I was weak, I need to go back and prove them wrong, especially Maverick. I am craving to see the shocked expression on their faces once they see me, I would be visiting them soon." Jolene said with a smirk.

"Soon?" Harrison asked to be sure and Jolene nodded positively.

"I don't know why you're acting like this, I need to get back to Zelda's ward, I forgot something." Jolene muttered and turned back.

After Jolene and Harrison left the ward Zelda was in, Paulene came in unnoticed, she had a change of mind and decided to return back to the clinic.

"Who are you?" Zelda asked sitting up, she stared at Paulene blankly, she shared resemblance with Jolene but she is sure she isn't the one."

"Hey! How are you? I hope you're feeling better ?" Paulene asked as she sat beside her on the bed.

"Who are you and what brings you here?" Zelda inquired and Paulene chuckled.

"I guess you were the one who found the antidote right?" Paulene asked and Zelda kept mute.

"What are you talking about?'

"You don't reply to me with questions, I just ask a question!" Paulene yelled and Zelda flinched.

She guessed that Paulene might be Jolene's sister, and she was beginning to suspect her.

"Yes I was, aren't you happy that I saved your sister?"

"Cut the crap! You f*****g ruined my plans, how did you even find the antidote?"

Zelda smirked, now she understands why Paulene is so furious.

"You poisoned your sister right?" She whispered and Paulene suddenly grabbed her neck.

"How dare you say such a thing? Have you gone nuts!" Paulene yelled, tightening her grip on her neck.

Zelda gasped as she struggled to break free.

"You were picked from the trash can and you had the guts to accuse me? I am going to kill you right now!" Paulene spat hatefully determined to kill her.

If Zelda hadn't found the antidote,Jolene would have been dead and her plans would have worked out fine. She just appeared out of the blue and ruined things for her, she felt so annoyed.

The door suddenly burst open revealing Jolene and Harrison.

"What the heck is going on here?" Jolene thundered as her facial expression darkened.
