XLVI- Part Two

Chapter 46

Author's POV…

"No it can't be possible!" Cynthia suddenly screamed as realization dawned on her, the blood trickled down her laps and her eyes kept widening.

"My baby! My baby!" She called as she held her stomach tightly.

"This can't happen to me!" She screamed out in tears.

She suddenly remembered how Maverick pushed her fiercely and she then landed on his dressing table and fell down with a loud thud.

"Maverick!!" She screamed out in pain.

She could remember Stella telling her that during early months of pregnancy, she mustn't engage in strenuous work and must engage in physical combat with anyone because she is at a delicate stage.

"Maverick killed my baby," she cried out as she stared at the bloodstain on the floor.

Suddenly, the guards began banging loudly on her door, her scream drew their attention and they thought something might have gone wrong.

"My lady! My lady! Are you okay?" One of the guards asked and he kept hitting the door.

They squeezed the door knob and tried to gain entry but it was locked.

"Get the f**k out of my door you fools!" She barked loudly and they left immediately.

"What's happening there?" Collins asked from afar as he rushed to where the guards were gathered.

"I think something is wrong with Luna Cynthia, we heard her screaming and we had to rush to her room but it was locked. We kept hitting and knocking on the door but she shouted at us and ordered us to leave," one of the guards explained and Collins sighed.

He understands what happened, it's obvious she got into another fight with Maverick.

"But the most surprising part is that I sensed that she was crying, I heard her loud sobs." The guard said and Collins furrowed his brows.

How can Cynthia cry because she had a fight with Maverick? Impossible!

"I will take it from here, you all should go back to your duty post." Collins dispersed the guards and sighed.

He went closer to Cynthia's door and placed his ear on it.

Truth be told, he could hear her crying loudly. " This is so weird!"

He rushed straight to Maverick's room and knocked gently on his door.

"Come in," Maverick permitted and Collins rushed in immediately.

"What's the problem?" Maverick asked from where he was sitting, he was sitting in front of his desk with a book and pen.

He was penning down some notes.

"Did you get into a fight with Cynthia or did you hit her?" Collins asked and Maverick swirled his chair so he could face him.

"Why do you ask?"

"The guards reported that they heard her screaming and sensed she was in tears, I also confirmed that. Did you hit her?" Collins asked curiously and Maverick laughed lightly.

"Cynthia can be dramatic at times, ignore her and go to bed, she just feels like crying." Maverick said not taking the matter seriously.

"Okay Alpha," Collins bowed and then left.

** The next morning **

"You lost the baby," Stella dropped the bombshell and Cynthia sprang up immediately.

"You don't mean it right?" Cynthia asked as her eyes became watery.

Just by glancing at her, one would know that something is wrong with her.

She cried all night and was unable to sleep, her eyes were damn red and she looked so organized.

It's her first pregnancy and losing it is like trying to swallow a huge lump down her throat, it's just so painful and heartbreaking.

She had to rush to Stella's apartment this morning to confirm if she actually lost the baby and it turns out to be true.

"I am sorry that such an unfortunate incident happened to you, but how did it happen?" Stella inquired, she was also shocked and is craving to know how Cynthia lost the baby.

The latter sat slowly on the coach nearby, she facepalmed and let out her tears.

Stella felt greatly for her and sat beside her, she began rubbing her back slowly.

"I am sorry you lost your baby my lady, I know it hurts but you can make more babies. You don't have to cry too much, does Alpha Maverick know about this?" Stella asked and Cynthia looked at her swiftly with red eyes.

"No one must know that I got pregnant, not even Maverick, he doesn't know about the pregnancy so I see no reason why he should know I lost it. He wouldn't believe me,you just have to keep your mouth shut!" Cynthia warned and Stella gulped.

She doesn't understand the reason why Cynthia is keeping things from their Alpha, she is beginning to get suspicious of her.

"This is our little secret, no one must hear of it. If our secret gets leaked to the pack, I am going to kill you. You know what I am capable of doing?" Cynthia threatened with a dark smile and Stella gasped lightly.

Now her suspicions are confirmed, Cynthia is surely hiding something!

Why won't she want Alpha Maverick to know that she had a child for him but eventually lost it?

Cynthia dried her eyes and used a face wiper, she then smiled brightly.

"See you later Miss Stella," she waved and left her apartment.

Stella suddenly released a breath she never knew she had been holding, she got scared when Cynthia threatened her.

She pondered on what to do? She can't keep this secret with Cynthia, she hates keeping secrets, she feels uncomfortable while doing that.

"But why is she keeping all these important stuff from him?" She contemplated.

"Alpha Maverick Ned's to know about this, I can't betray my loyalty to him." Cynthia thought and suddenly stood up.

Alpha Maverick deserves to know that Cynthia once carried his child before she lost it.

As she was about to step out of her apartment, she remembered Cynthia's threat and stepped back in.

Cynthia can be dangerous at times, how did she even get involved with her in the first place?

"This is crazy! If Alpha Maverick finds out that I kept something this huge from me, I am going to get punished. What should I do?" She muttered and fell on her couch.

She wondered how Cynthia lost the baby or did she take some abortion pills?

Was that why she warned her not to allow Alpha Maverick know about her pregnancy?
