Chapter 13

Author's POV….

"I am not that weak and soft Jolene you have always known!" She yelled and Paulene couldn't believe her eyes.

Did her sister just kick her? When did she become so strong?

She could still remember when they were little, Jolene was the weakest among their friends but she has become totally different.

What changed about her all these years? Where did she acquire such strength from?

All these questions ran through Paulene's head as she kept staring at her sister in shock.

She stood up, dusted the pieces of glasses from the broken mirror that pierced into her skin, the bruises she got from the broken mirror healed instantly.

She stood gallantly in front of Jolene and smirked.

"I can see that you have grown stronger and audacious to the extent you hurt me, and you still want peace to reign between us, you want me to see you as a sister when you hurt me!" Paulene yelled and Jolene sighed.

"You pushed me to the wall but anyways, I forgive you for everything you did back then when we were still young, maybe the reason why you did all that was because you were still very young. You're still my sister, nothing changed, let's end all these unnecessary fights and quarrels. You want the Lycan king position, fine, we can rule our father's pack together. Let's just stop all these meaningless quarrels and fight, please." Jolene pleaded, hoping Paulene would listen to her.

She had always wished to have a sister and now she finally has one, the least thing she wants to happen between them is fights and quarrels.

"Stop spitting rubbish, it annoys me alot. The only way we can become bonded is only if you step down the Alpha's position, can you do that for your dearest sister?" Paulene asked, moving closer.

Jolene sighed frustratedly, Paulene is just so stubborn and isn't ready to listen to her.

"Paulene, can you…." She interrupted Jolene immediately.

"Enough of your long speech! I have heard enough, just leave my room, I hate you! I wish you were not my twin! I wish you were not my sister! I wish you were not born!" Paulene screamed and Jolene gulped so hard.

Why does her sister hate her so much? She was the one that was wronged, she should be the shouting and screaming at Paulene, she should be the one begging and pleading for forgiveness but she is doing the opposite.

"I am not going to leave until you tell me the reason why you hate me so much. Like, I don't understand, I am the one who was offended, you should be pleading and begging for my forgiveness. Why are you like this Paulene?" Jolene muttered, feeling hurt by her sister's words.

"Did I ever wrong you? Why the sudden hatred and resentment?" Jolene snapped.

"And this is one thing I hate about you, you're always pretending to be a good child and they make everyone see me as a bad child. Just leave, if you don't leave, I will use this on you." Paulene threatened as she picked up a knife from her desk.

"You can stab me if you want, if that will make you stop hating me, just do it!"

Jolene stood boldly, not freaked or even scared of the knife.

"You think I won't do it, maybe I need to prove how much I hate and resent you."

Saying that, Paulene pounced unexpectedly on Jolene and both landed on the floor.

She raised the knife and made to stab her on her chest, Jolene seized her hands and squeezed it, hardly cracking her bones.

"Arrrgh…" Paulene yelled in pain, Jolene flipped her over and collected the knife on her.

She placed the knife on her neck threateningly,

"Quit trying to kill or hurt me because you can never succeed. I can just kill you right now if I want you, I am done trying to settle scores with you. You're worse than I think and I really hope you would come back to your senses."

"Kill me if you want you, it would be better if you do that because if you don't, I am going to kill you instead." Paulene spoke fearlessly and Jolene smirked.

"Oh my God, I knew it! Jolene please,"

Harrison rushed in and immediately pulled Jolene from Paulene, he collected the knife and threw it aside.

"Are you okay?" Harrison asked Jolene worriedly.

The latter stormed out without saying a word.

"Harrison!" Paulene called out getting on her feet.

Harrison stared at her in a disgusting manner before leaving but Paulene rushed to the door and locked it before he could get there.

"Aren't you going to ask me if I am okay too?" Paulene queried, Harrison frowned and kept mute.

"You should ask if I am okay, you saw her holding the knife right? She was trying to kill me, believe me. I didn't do anything to her, she is the evil one here, not me." Paulene lied and Harrison sighed.

"Get out of my way!" Harrison requested calmly but Paulene ignored his words.

"You've changed a lot Harrison, what happened? Why don't you want to talk to me anymore? Did I do something wrong?"

"We were never friends in the first place, stop putting ideas into your head."

"But we once had s*x right? You stole my virginity so what are you saying? We are more than friends Ha…"

He interrupted her immediately.

"Enough! You and I know that it was a mistake and I wished that mistake never happened."

"But it happened," Paulene said, smiling mischievously.

"You should drop your pride and allow me into your life, you're never going to regret it. Let's make things work between us," Paulene said in whispers smiling seductively. She began caressing his chest till she got his d**k area.

He slapped her eyes off and pushed her on the bed.

"Quit daydreaming and forget about everything that happened that night, it happened years ago. We were still little and stupid, stay away from me and remember we are not friends." Harrison warned and stormed out of her room.

"Why is he acting like a d**k? I am sure he is going to come around, I am not going back anytime soon so I will make sure she falls for me." She said and laughed derisively.

"But when did he become so close with that b***h?" She thought referring to Jolene.

Harrison got out of her room and breathed a sigh of relief, everything that happened that fateful night replayed in his head.

He wishes he wasn't drunk that night, he won't have ended up having s*x with Paulene.

He could still remember how she tried seducing him at the party even before he got drunk.

Their Alpha threw a party for his members to celebrate their hard work that year because harvest that year was very fruitful.

It happened five years ago, he was eighteen and Paulene was just sixteen.

He got drunk that night and didn't know what he was doing until he found himself stark naked on Paulene's bed the next morning.

That was the biggest mistake of his life, he wished he could turn back the hands of time.

Since then, Paulene held onto that all these years.
