Chapter 19

Lorene's pov…

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Harrison asked for the hundredth time and I sighed.

It was finally the day Paulene would challenge me for the Lycan king's position through wrestling.

I still remember her words that day, she said if I win, I should take her life but if she does, she is going to take my position.

I sincerely don't know how she feels comfortable wrestling with me, I don't feel okay wrestling with her.

She is my sister and I am always mild anytime I am around or with her, blood is thicker than water.

"Yes I can,"

"Don't get hurt," he muttered and hugged me lightly.

I got to the pack's square where all the Lycans of my kingdom were seated round.

I sighted Paulene, she has this I don't care look on her face, she was just determined to win me in the wrestle.

★Are they really going to fight?

★i thought they are both sisters

★I guess princess Paulene got jealous and decided to challenge her sister for the Lycan king position.

★i support princess Paulene, the position shouldn't be given to only one of them, they are twins!

★This is ridiculous!

And the comments went on and on from the pack, it was so surprising that two sisters are going to be wrestling for the same position.

I looked at my parents, they were looking disappointed, they weren't expecting this from both I and Paulene.

I wish I could just talk some sense to Paulene but she would obviously not listen to me.

This is not just making sense to me.

"Silence everyone!" My father commanded and everyone held their lips.

"Today is finally the day that Paulene would be challenging our Alpha king for her position. The ruler of the combat is that whoever brings his/her opponent down to the floor is going to be declared as the winner. If you have anything to say to each other, say it now before the wrestling commences." My father informed, I could sense the pain in his voice, he was obviously not happy.

Paulene closed up the space between us and whispered into my ears.

"I will crush you Jolene, the Lycan king's position is mine!" She said placing emphasis on the word 'mine'

I took a deep breath and held Paulene's hands.

"Let's not do this, it's not just making sense at all, we are sisters for God sake!"

"Let's forget about being sisters, you are not my sister but my rival. We are talking about power here," she spat, I could see the determination in her eyes.

No amount of advice can make her change her mind!

"Paulene, we can settle this later, we can rule the Lycan kingdom together after all we are twins.

"To settle everything, step down for me and be my Beta."

I sent mute immediately, Paulene can't handle the Lycan king's position.

"You see? That's what pisses me off, you're the greedy one here, why can't you step down for me if you actually wanted to settle scores with me." She half-yelled.

"That's enough! Let the wrestle begin," My father announced and Paulene slapped my hands off.

"Let's forget we are sisters and let's see who is the real Lycan king," she said and stepped backwards.

"Let the combat begin!" My father announced and Paulene charged towards me with so much speed.

We aren't allowed to wrestle in our wolf form so we just fight physically.

I stood on a spot and waited to see if she would really do it.

She got to me and swiftly punched me at three dangerous places, my stomach, chest and lips.

I staggered backwards slowly, shocking everyone, they weren't expecting me to feel anything at all.

I was also shocked, Paulene punched me? I thought she was going to change her mind but she never did.

"Get hold of yourself and fight back!" My wolf urged and I gulped.

I can't just imagine myself hurting Paulene, I don't understand the reason why, maybe because of the sister bond.

Paulene tried crapping my legs from the ground, I almost fell but maintained my balance.

Everyone opened their mouths in shock, they weren't expecting me to get affected so easily.

Paulene pulled me closer and slapped me twice.

"I told you not to mess with me b***h! I wonder what father and mother was thinking when they made you the Lycan king. I am way stronger and skillful than you, nothing changed about you Jolene, you're still the weak girl that I know and nothing would change that!"

Her words got me bad and I growled, the aggressiveness in my wolf woke up and I faced her angrily.

I seized her by the hands and swiftly carried her up.

"What are you doing?" She yelled too shocked to believe what was happening.

She tried to break free but I was too strong for her.

I've been training for the past four years while she has been in the human world having fun.

How dare she call me a weak person?

I forgot that we are sisters and without thinking twice, I threw her roughly on the floor with all my strength, such that the ground broke and a huge dust emanated from it. Paulene screamed in pain.

The whole pack stood up and began chanting " Alpha! Alpha Alpha!"

Paulene couldn't move, I guess most of her bones must have gotten broken.

Within a twinkle of an eye, she lost the challenge.

I picked her up and threw her to a tree, she hit the tree so hard and fell with a loud thud.

The screams got louder, I removed the strands of my hair that got stuck on my face.

I faced my parents and could see the proud smile on my father's face but mum was worried.

I immediately rushed to Paulene, she was already bleeding and I guess most of her limbs got broken.

I felt guilty that instant, I knelt beside her immediately.

"Paulene, are you okay? I didn't mean to hurt you, you pushed me into doing this. I warned you but you wouldn't just listen to me, are you okay?" I asked worriedly and she suddenly smirked.

"I hate you so much Jolene, go and die!!"

Before someone could say jack Robinson, I felt a long knife shoved into my stomach, it came out from my back.

My eyes widened as I felt stinging pains, Paulene just stabbed me!!

Silence rented the atmosphere as everyone was in shock.

Paulene pulled out the knife and stabbed me on my shoulder.

"I hate you!!!"
