Chapter Two: The Man She Never Forgot His name was Daniel. The same Daniel who once held her hands under the moonlight and promised, “I’ll never leave you.” The same Daniel who left. Amina’s chest tightened as their eyes locked. Time didn’t just slow—it rewound. “You…” she whispered, her voice barely there. Daniel stepped out of the car, looking different… better dressed, more confident—but his eyes carried something familiar. Regret. “I’ve been looking for you,” he said. Amina let out a dry laugh. “Now you remember I exist?” “It’s not like that.” “It’s exactly like that,” she snapped, stepping back. “You disappeared. No calls. No explanation. Nothing. And now you just show up like—like nothing happened?” People passed by, but the world around them faded. “I had no choice,” Daniel said quietly. Amina shook her head. “There’s always a choice. You just didn’t choose me.” Silence stretched between them. Rain kept falling. But something deeper was happening—something neither of them could control. Because no matter how much it hurt… A part of her still loved him. And that was the most dangerous thing of all.
