  We did not walk hand in hand, but he gave me a semi-hug, gently pushing me to walk by placing his hand in the middle of my back. When we reached the busy road, he raised his thumb and got us a taxi almost instantly.   I was standing silently next to him like a scared rabbit until we entered the car.
