Resort In A Big City

I didn't really have too many people to practice Raul's suggestions on, so as Jeff and Melly sat curled on the couch, I wrote down their facial expressions. As I stared at the paper, I began to try to form an analysis of it. It's pretty clear by the way Jeff watches Melly when he thinks she's not looking that he's in love with her. Melly is oblivious to it all, and not once did I catch her looking at him in the same way. My final analysis is that Jeff is madly in love with her, and she feels comfortable with him. I crumbled up the paper and threw it away. Then I thought better of it. I dug the paper out of the trash and flattened it as best as I could. I tucked it inside my backpack and carried it to my room. "Goodnight," I called out before entering my bedroom. "Goodnight, Gabby, "I heard as I closed the door. I need to be up early tomorrow. I rubbed icy hot on my ankle and went to sleep. Raul and I spent most of the car ride fighting over the music. He's a rock music kind of guy, and I listen to a little of everything. "I can listen to anything but Country music. Turn it off now," Raul said. When I made no move to turn it, he reached for the knob on the car stereo. "Come on, they said they're going to play one of my favorites next," I pleaded. "This music hurts my ears now turn it off," Raul pushed my hand away. I grabbed the knob and turned it back, "Please," I gave him my puppy dog eyes and even batted my eyelashes a few times. Up next by request, we have Tennesse Whiskey, the DJ o the radio said. Raul rolled his eyes but didn't change the song. After a few minutes, surprisingly, he sang along with the music, "Used to spend my nights out in the club. My business was the only love I've known, But you rescued me from reachin' for another woman And brought me back from being a..." His voice is so sexy and deep when he sings. I can't help but listen even if he changed the song's words to make it fit him. That made it even funnier. "What were you going to say in that last part?" I asked him. "I'm pretty sure you can imagine," he laughed. I'm reminded of those blurred lines again. Is he singing about us or just trying to be funny? If I'm not careful, I'll blur the lines. I can't develop feelings for him. The song ended, and I turned on some heavy metal and turned it up. Raul eyed me curiously from the side, but I ignored him. I laid back in the seat and shut my eyes, determined to forget about his sexy voice or the words he sang. We pulled into the resort, and I looked around. The place looked busy as a valet had a line forming already, "Should I be writing down my observations now?" "No, but you can add them in later if you feel it's important," he said. After a few minutes, the Valet reached us, and Raul handed him the keys. "Your bags will be brought into you, Sir," the man looked like he had said that so many times already today. I imagined by his tired face, his shift was almost over. "Thank you," Raul took out some bills from his wallet and handed it to him. We walked inside, and I was taken aback by the decor. Glass chandeliers hung from the ceiling and contrasted with the gold walls. We approached the desk, and Raul gave his name. "Yes, I have your reservation right here," The older woman behind the desk said. She handed Raul a card, and I approached the counter to get mine. "Gabby, I have our keys," Raul said. My stomach flip-flopped at the thought of staying in the same room. The woman looked between us nervously. I followed behind Raul as he approached the man at the elevator. "Penthouse two," Raul said. The man nodded his head and pushed the button. The doors opened, and we stepped inside. "Don't be nervous," Raul whispered to me. "I'm not," I lied. As the doors swung open, we stepped into the hall. The floor only had one entry, and I guessed it means this was a suite. "There's plenty of room for both of us," he flashed me a sexy smile, and my heart skipped a beat. "How many bedrooms are there?' i gulped. "I booked this room before we made our deal, so there is two," he winked, "But that doesn't mean we have to use them both," "We'll definitely be using them both. I also get to choose my bedroom first," I said. As soon as he opened the door, I quickly searched for the bedrooms. If this place has a master with a jacuzzi, I'm claiming it. I opened the doors one by one until I found what I was looking for, "I'll take this one," I said as I plopped on the king-size bed. "Are you sure this is the one you want?" he grinned. His tricks won't work with me, "Yep," I said. "That leaves the Master bedroom with the jacuzzi and the bar to me," he laughed. "Wait, how do you know?" I puckered my lips. "Jimmy let me do virtual tours before I chose," He laughed as he took off his tie. As he began undressing, my eyes followed him hungrily, "What are you doing? I murmured. "It's hot, and I'm going for a swim in our private deck pool," he kicked his shoes off as he unbuttoned his pants. His eyes never once leaving my face. He's teasing me, but two can play this game, "So does that mean I can swim naked in it?" "You wouldn't dare," he winked. "You're right. I'm not giving you the satisfaction," I pushed him out the bedroom door and laughed. That ends his little striptease. "Are you going swimming with me," he hollered from the other side of the door. "You didn't tell me to pack a bathing suit," I said. I'm actually putting my bikini on, but making him suffer is part of the game. "You knew we were coming to a resort. Nice try, Gabby," he laughed. I pulled my hair up into a bun and opened the door, "Ready," I said, "I change my mind. I think we should check out the bed first," he said. "Oh no, you don't. We're here on business," I put my finger on his chest to stop him from advancing forward anymore. "I'm pretty sure our deal started with business Gabby," he teased. "No, it started with a letter," I sauntered off, being sure to sway my hips as I did.
