Graham's eyes burned with fury as he glared at Cyrus.
"Elena, are you alright?" Elena rushed to her daughter's side, her face pale with worry, her eyes brimming with anxiety.
"Mom, I'm fine!" Josephine assured her quickly, forcing a smile to ease her mother's concern. But her trembling voice betrayed the fear still lingering in her heart.
Elena's gaze swept over Josephine from head to toe, her sharp eyes searching for any sign of injury. Only when she was certain her daughter was unharmed did she let out a shaky breath. "Thank God. I was so scared."
Josephine took her mother's arm, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry, Mom. I'm okay. Really."
Elena gently patted Josephine's hand, her touch soft and comforting. "You have to be more careful from now on. That was too close."
