The empire had recovered their lands lost during the first age of the crystal lords. They were powerful enough to do so and no matter how big the human armies were, with the white knights those numbers were nothing. Ten thousand men again, one thousand white knights. Only three thousand men survived, just because they ran. Not a single knight was lost. Armies of twenty thousand men, thirty… spread around the territory, just numbers for the white knights to reduce, as the regular army worked as support and in just one year they held strategic locations that humans couldn't take back.
