Rejected and Reborn

Chapter 9

Liam and I proceeded towards the lawn on the backside of the packhouse,I felt so many tiny butterflies flutter in my stomach all this time,my mate looked so perfect,he was  tall  about 6’5” and muscular and looked deadly handsome in his formal attire.He was wearing a dark grey suit and it went so well with his dark hair,not a strand out,his jaw line was so perfectly carved as if the Goddess had made a sketch before making him.He looked at me with so many emotions in his eyes,I couldn’t read them and I think I was blushing all this time.

“Your name is as beautiful as you are Sophie, I am Liam Collins,Alpha of the New Moon pack” he said finally “Pleased to meet you Liam,I am Sophie Johnson,my father Tom Johnsonv was the Beta of this pack and my brother Noah is the current Beta” I replied “I am sorry for the way things started between us,there is a lot going on  ,Brian is behaving like a lunatic and its shocking to see him like this,but nobody will disturb us now,we have all the time.Just a little thing,before we proceed if you would want to ask me anything about my past then pl go ahead,I would like to start this relationship with nothing but truth”

“Princess I am truly happy to have found you and your honesty impresses me already but honesty is a two way road and so I too would like to share somehting with you regarding my past first.So about seven years back I found my mate after my eighteenth birthday,she too was the daughter of an Alpha and was on a visit to our pack with her father.At that time,my pack was going through a lot,I had just lost my Dad and taken over as Alpha,my mother was unwell due to her mate’s passing away and I was hardly able to do anything properly,it affected my business and the financial stability of the pack.

Everybody thought finding my Luna would be the solution to all my problems and during an allaince meet Alpha Charles vsited us with his daughter Jennifer.Jennifer looked like a jolly and loud girl,she made friends quickly and soon had the attention of all guests and pack members.

When we  discovered that we were mates my happiness knew no limits but she rejected me,right then and there,she rejected me because she wanted an Alpha who was powerful and rich.She said she already had Alpha blood so she was sure to get the power but also she could not lead her life in problems and was born with a silver spoon and therefore,wanted a rich husband.

Along with everything happening in my life I had to deal with heartbreak too.The pain was unbearable,it made my wolf weak too but since then I understood that this world values only the rich and powerful.i made it my goal to become the strongest alpha and make my company a multi million dollar worth of business.I have worked very hard these seven years Sophie,and today I am the Alpha of the strongest pack,the most feared and all my businesses are flourishing” he said proudly

“I am sure you will be the perfect Luna for my pack but to think of this as love only, I think I will take some time,I was brutally heartbroken and made to feel inferior about my strength,it will not erase from my memory that easily” he finished and gave me a tired smile

After a long pause I managed to say “Ok and here I thought I was battling heartbreak alone,but I guess we both already have a lot in common which according to me is already a good start Liam,we both have been through heartbreak with no fault of ours,we have both came out strong from it keeping our packs in mind,I think its already a good start to a beautiful friendship,I have known Brian since I was born,I always loved him but seeing him lately I feel like I never understood him.So before we dwell into anything else I think it would be best to be each other’s friend and then lets see how this goes from there “ Liam gave me a soft smile hearing this and hugged me,I felt tingles and electric sparks everywhere in my body,I wanted to be nowhere else,I did not want this moment to end ,it was funny,I had just met him but I did not want to be away from him for a moment also now,I did not want to call this love,I did not want to call this a bond but for me it was the start of something very striong and beautiful.
