Chapter Two - The More You Wake Up, The More You Realize, Things Are Getting Worse

320 Words
I woke up in a hospital bed, screaming. The police ran in with some doctors, trying to get me to calm down. I kept repeating the same words over and over. "Knife, jail, monster," The doctors kept shouting to calm me down. Threatening to send me to the insane asylum. "Kat. You need to calm down and tell us what happened." The Doctors got me to calm down and once again, the police asked me what happened. "The man. The man in the cell. He.. he... He stabbed me in the chest." I now realized, how am i alive. How can i be alive? "Kat, there are no wounds on your body." Why do they keep saying cat? Is that my name? I looked down at where the knife hit me and i was completely shocked. There was no wound, not even a scar. Was that all in my head? Or was i really a monster? I begged the doctors and police to let me out as soon as possible. I want to go as far as i can away from people. But when i look back that the doctors, they all layed dead on the ground. Was that me or did they all just magically die? No thats not possible. All i know was that guy was right. Maybe i was a monster. I got up out of the hospital bed and walked out the room and down the hall. The hospital was dead quiet. Almost to quiet. Not a single sound was to be heard except for my own foot steps. I saw more doctors and nurses dead on the floor, and thats when it hit me. The whole hospital was dead. I screamed. I really am a monster. I ran out of the hospital as fast as i could, gradually going faster and faster. Was i running the speed of a cheetah or was that my imagination.
