Chapter Three - As We Know, Things are getting worse

Its been getting worse everyday. More people are dying and more cops try to come arrest me, but they all end up dead. Ive been hiding in the shadows so no one else ends up dead. Ive discovered that im not normal. Am I even human? I have these...powers? One thing is for sure, that guy back in the cell was right, I am a monster. And what ever this monster is, he loves killing. Its hard to keep him in.

"Stop right there!" A voice from behind me said. I could've sworn i heard his voice somewhere but i couldnt think of it right away. "WHo are you? Better yet, are you that monster? Show yourself!!" He shouted and i started to get scared. I can feel the monster trying to escape.

I slowly turned with my hands in the air. "I dont know who i am sir, but please help me." I looked up and it was that guy who had me locked in a cell. The monster in me was getting mad and trying to get out.

"Its you. You're the monster. You're the reason why so many people are disappearing and going missing. What did you do? You probably killed all those people in the hospital too because the were all wiped out." He kept stepping closer to me. The monster was getting closer and closer to coming out. I had to back away. I didnt want to hurt him.

"Please stay away. I dont want to hurt anymore people. I dont know who i am, or what is happening to me. But please stay away or something bad will happen." I wanted to run away and not hurt any more people.

"I didnt want to hurt you either, but i thought it would stop all of this. Turns out it didnt. If only mother was here to see this. Im sorry. Im going to have to take you back to the cell to keep you from killing people."

I didnt focus on what he said fully. He said mother and i froze. What does he mean mother? Was he my brother? I looked down at the tags around my neck. All of a sudden he started singing. A song that ive heard before. But where? I started to feel sleepy. Very sleepy. The next thing i knew i was falling hard to the ground. I felt him put me in his car before i fully passed out.

I woke up in a cell once again, chained with even more chains than before. So many that i couldnt even count. When i moved i felt a burning sensation all throughout my body. There was no gag in my mouth this time which made it easier to scream. As much as i like being away from people so that i dont hurt them, i didnt want to be locked up in a cell.

"LET ME OUT PLEASE!!" I call out and the guy appears, almost like hes been waiting for me to shout. He looked at me and smiled.

"I know mom wouldnt like seeing you like this, but i stopped you from hurting more people." He said it again. He said mom.

"What do you mean mom. I dont even know you! I dont even know who i am!" I tried to wiggle out the chains some more but no use.

"Well sweetie, you are Kat Plineswood. You probably dont remember." I was confused. I looked down at the tags around my neck.

"I dont know what your talking about. If im Kat Plineswood...." I paused. "I found these dog tags around my neck. One said Jane Plineswood and the other said Jake Plineswood." Am i their sister?

"Oh thats me. Im Jake Plineswood. Your real name is Jane but you prefer to be called Kat?" Why on earth would i wanna be called that? I mean Jane is kinda dumb. Kat is cool but not really. What he said really got me thinking.

"So... does that mean your my brother? But i dont know anything. Im a monster. I killed everybody and im going to kill you once i get out of here." The monster slipped out, wanting to kill Jake. I had to keep him in. I dont wanna kill anymore.

"Oh i dont think you will. You're chained i...." The monster broke free of my mental prison and ripped out the chains. He broke the cell doors and killed Jake, right before my own eyes. He didnt even take over my whole body like he normally does. He made me watch. I had to take controll of my body.

The monster ran out of his house right as i finally got controll back. I had to get help before he escapes again.
