After the packhouse reckoning, my dad put Aliana’s, Terrance’s, and Jamar’s family under his Alpha protection. None of us were permitted to leave the packhouse premises. Aliana and Terrance were given the guesthouse with their parents. It was decided that Jamar and his family would stay with us in the main house. I had a lingering feeling that whatever happened with Jared was far from over. Our parents were very hushed about everything so we decided to watch a movie in the theater.
